The point is Zanmato works on everyone and everything and can be done for as little as 5k gil (my lowest Zanmato cost so far). As for how effective it is for cheesing past something like Yunalesca or Dark Yojimbo who have multiple stages is a different story.

If anything, Dark Yojimbo looks to be a "renewable" source of getting Ribbon+3 slot accessories by zoning resetting the kill count so keeping him around can be a good thing until you're better geared for DMS and/or Penance. Otherwise enjoy living in the Arena for potential 1-2 Dark Matters per boss kill with Ribbon requiring 99x.

Still don't know what everyone's problem with blitzball is. Beat the first match against Luca Goers with 4-0, would have been 5-0 but time ran out :/

I've never ever bothered recruiting anyone except for brother and wakka for Blitzball, and only because they're part of the team It's so ridiculously easy there's no need to recruit people like Nimrook etc.

The first Luca match was a bitch for me because I missed jecht shot, but I grabbed wedge jamul and zalitz and I win most games by 5-9 goals.

I'm pretty sure you don't even need to zone. Simply touching the save sphere should reset the encounter iirc.

Blitzball: recruit wedge and brother.
Butterflies: took about 50 tries to memorize the path. The butterflies look like you can go a certain way. They lie. You have to follow a certain path.
Lightning: there's a spot. First tower coming from macalania. Stand to the left of the tower and walk straight left. Lightning hits when you pass a certain spot. Keep your eyes on that one spot and run back to tower then back to spot. Over and over.
Chocobo racing: I couldn't do it. Friend did it for me.

Chocobo racing is the most bullshit ever in this game compared to all of the other Ultimate Weapons. Controls are just so bad for it lol. Took me all afternoon to do it today, but the other stuff barely took anytime at all.

Same here. I remember being the most frustrated with the butterfly game, mainly because of the warped depth perception from the game's fixed camera angles. Second-most frustrating for me was the lightning bolts, only because I can hold my concentration for only so long.

HD makes butterflies 1billion times easier. You can actually see the color shifting ones now and not get fooled into 15 battles each run.
Chocobo racing has always been 10% skill 90% luck.
Lightning dodging, as mentioned, can be manipulated. The spot mentioned before is really a crater, you are able to pre-emptively press the X button as soon as you step onto the dark area in front of the crater and get the dodge 100% of the time.

Have a full grid with Wakka, and have started the long painful process of 300+ Earth Eaters for Fortune Spheres. Is Attack Reels not supposed to hit 99999 on Monster Arena creations? Can't break 50k even with 255 str 255 luck.
