Honestly the grind is starting to seem to terrible I'm having a lot of "I'm too old for this shit" moments. If I can beat the dark aeons with a set of armor and it doesn't work for Penance, I will Zanmato him and never look back lol.

I zanmato'd penance. After 20+ fails at 10 mil. I got 15 mil to work. So sick of ffx by the time I got there lol

Where do you guys farm all that money? I'm at about 2.5mil right now, haven't used bribe yet as I'm still farming stats to do arena mobs and selling all the useless gear I get.

Kottos is a good source of money. Overkilling him gives you 40 Healing Spring, 12 are used for SOS Regen. Buy armors from the grandma NPC in Kilika and add SOS Regen and sell them with huge profit.
Until you can easily kill Kottos I guess it's Mimics with Gillionaire?

One eye.. over and over and over.. Also, I fight most monsters for bribing at the arena so it's a quick save if I don't get what I want, but for auto-haste, I actually go to the Omega dungeon so I can fight mimics.

Also, the wiki (and I'm assuming most other guides) have a value, but if you bribe with half that it saves a ton of money. If the first bribe is rejected just offer one gil over and over till it's accepted.

Ugh, maxing everyone's Grids seems like an even worse chore than everything before that

Just got Airship travel so started doing stuff to unlock ultimate weapons.
Wish I knew the game was going to cock block most of my progress with Dark Aeons I have no chance of beating, otherwise I might have been sure to look up a guide to make sure I had grabbed all that I could my first time through.


Oops. I also forgot to get the Zanarkand Destruction Sphere so no Anima and every quest that's connected with. I have a separate save file right before that temple but then I'd have to redo a couple hours of work I've done since then. It's only like 5 hours max but I really don't think I can be bothered even to do that. Maybe I'll just beat the game and move on to X-2 since I've never played that game before.

Zanarkand sphere you have to go back to the temple after being able to travel the world.

As far as maxing out, once you get a good rhythm going, it's not bad -- especially with DT to max sphere levels. Best way, imo, is to get everyone together at a dead end (like by Ultima or the locked ability near Auron's starting point) and just move everyone together, taking care of one stat at a time. Honestly, the biggest hassle is getting gil for everything you need to do..

Nah, I basically have the whole board covered now, minus some Luck nodes I'll clear to make things easier and I'm not starving for gil too. It's just boring.. Kottos for spheres, DT for levels and then pressing buttons from 15 minutes to activate nodes

Anyhow, gotten most of the annoying minigames out of the way (chocobo catcher, remiem temple race and lightning dodging). I completely spaced out during the lightning dodging and I checked the book to find I dodged 379 bolts.

Got everybody's ultimate weapon finally except Wakka's.... 2 more games to go till Jupiter Sigil!! Then off to level grind. Do I need to be uber strong to kill the One-eye thing?

Pretty sure with haste and decent agility, you can kill it before it gets a turn. its got like 180k hp

Just remember that it can ambush pretty often so you might want Initiative.

If you've caught every monster, you'll have the 99 Dark Matters, so you can create an item with Ribbon for Yuna. It opens with a move that inflicts sleep, confusion, and other things, so yeah.. Also depends on her health/defense since she'd need to survive the attack. But, you're better off making it sooner since all the monsters you'll be fighting can drop Dark Matter, and no reason to lose it.
