Boxing is a joke because the top fighters never seem to want to fight anybody anymore, not because of the bullshit that happens in the ring since that happens in every sport.

Pretty sure a combination of May dodging Manny like you mentioned above + having to actually watch bullshit matches like this when they finally agree to one(Manny vs Shane Mosley was a gigantic waste of fucking time) is killing boxing.

I don't feel bad for anyone that actually paid for this joke of a fight. People need to stop buying this shit. If it isn't May vs Manny, then it means nothing. Hell some of the other weight classes are even less interesting. What May did last night was legal, but it was a bitch move. The way he acted towards Merchant, only shows May knows it was a bitch move. I have always hated Larry Merchant, but this time he was awesome!

Had it not been for the head butt, the rounds would have been even after that 4th round. Ortiz was taking it to Mayweather that 4th round. He just got too excited when he had a Mayweather against the ropes (for the 2nd time in the round) and threw a head butt in there. It was actually a pretty entertaining up until the shenanigans. I think Floyd would have won in the end anyway. The rematch needs to happen ASAP.
