Episode was good for Barney's development, but not so much Ted's. We know Ted will be married in 3 years since the last season is next year, but I guess it's nice to have a definite cap instead of just going off Jason Segal saying he won't resign his contract. Gotta say, Ted and Marshall were delusional for a long time about where they'd be in 3 years..

Also, Barney's gotta have the most fragile mugs ever..

Pretty sure they have never said next season is the last unless I missed some news somewhere. In fact if anything I think they have expressed thoughts about season 9.

This was from 2010, so maybe the situation has changed and I missed it, but back then he said that after his current contract expires (up till the 2012-2013 season), he won't resign. Can't really do the show without Marshall, so yeah~
