So food for thought - The show says he meets his wife at "the wedding," but he never says which one. Now let's see....where did he meet Victoria again???

Edit: Dammit - "Due to the seriousness of their relationship, it was suspected Victoria would be the mother, but as was said earlier, in Lucky Penny, Future Ted states that he had not yet met the mother. Since Ted met Victoria months prior to this episode, it's clear Victoria is not the mother."

Robin/Barney arent getting together.
The first scene in the second part shows a church thats rainy. The last scene shows a chuch thats bright and beautiful outside.
The Ted quotes are referencing two different things.

He mentions a "wedding gone bad" or something similiar, which he probably means Victoria's.
And then the whole "bride wants to see you" when next to barney.. I dont think those are connected.

But hey, who knows, I might be overthinking.

That would be pretty dishonest of them as they said a couple times that last season was about learning the groom and this one was about learning the bride.

Additionally, it is overcast in the flash forward at the start of the second half hour of the finale, so the rain makes sense, plus the tux and corsage doesn't change, and the narration specifically says it's Barney's wedding still. That being said, yes the "wedding day gone wrong" doesn't necessarily mean Barney since the episode is about Victoria's wedding.

I have gotten very attached to the characters. At this point, I don't care what they do with the story, as long as I get to see the gang together and just do shit, I'm all for it.

This is excellent news to me. Hope we get a season 9.

Well they have already given timelines for when he meets the mother and when he has children and all that. So all it really means is we will actually get to see him date the mother for a bit, they'll probably end the series with their wedding or something at the end of season 9.

And I'm with you guys, love this show, I trust them to keep it good no matter how many seasons they do.

He has a daughter in 3 years (less now), at most, he has to have -met- the mother in 2 years, 3 months. For the sake of argument (and because I'm too lazy to look it up..), let's say that episode was 6 months ago. That means he has 2 1/2 years till his daughter is born, so 1 3/4 years till he absolutely has to meet the mother (if he gets her pregnant on their first date or something..). Each season is a year, so at the end of next season, he's 3/4 of a year till his daughter is conceived. If they extend it to 9 seasons, he has to meet the mother before the end of the season or it'll be too late for him to have his daughter, and she has to be pregnant at the end of the season.

Also, still saying it's Barney's sister.
