Glee Season 3!

The first season was good, because the music was actually good. They did good songs, and music that everyone knows. Now they just play shit that I guess the current generation knows? (Damn kids and their music, etc, god I'm getting old, but I've always been an old soul when it comes to music. )

Lol this. But then again, did any high school kids know songs from the musicals they've sang songs from, like Wicked, West Side Story etc? I would imagine not, so maybe introducing classics to a new generation is a good thing. Much better (usually) than the tripe being touted as music these days.

Is it bad that I didn't know who Adele was until Glee did one of her songs last season?

Heh, I hadn't heard a Lady Gaga song until they started singing them on Glee.

By all accounts (most people on TWOP), last night's episode sucked balls. I don't think I'll watch another episode unless there's a really raunchy snog between Kurt/Blaine or someone dies.

I feel like they are quietly developing Quinn for an explosive episode. I loved the Santana development, the part with her abuela rejecting her was actually a good move I thought since kids need to know that its not going to be all "hugs and kisses" when you come out. Seeing Finn's reasons for caring about Santana was good too.

I dunno, I think how they handled the slap was a bit wrong, seemed like Mr Shue had a memory lapse about what happened in Sue's office, and Finn practically blackmailed Santana to returning to New Directions. Also there doesn't seem to be any repercussions (except a remark from Santana) for Finn outing Santana like he did the previous episode, (in my opinion) no one should be outed like that.

Quinn really needs an earth-shattering good episode to pull back from the brink of crazy Quinn (ps I miss pink haired bad ass Quinn, she was hot).

That slap was totally deserved.

And holy shit, this is the first episode this season that had 2 decent songs! Although, I'm being really nice with my use of the word "decent". It pretty much just means that I actually listened to it instead of just skipping through it. >_> The rest was trash like always.

Their version of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is probably one of the best songs they ever did. I'm pretty blown away from it. It took me like 30 seconds in before I even recognized what they were singing. My gf always buys their songs from iTunes but I might actually want to add this to my music collection.

That's one of the things about the music I love, when they can effectively change a song or make a brilliant mashup. Like the Journey mashup from the end of season one was absolutely brilliant and always on my favorites.

Their Mashups are quite original, but the down-tempo version of Girls Just Want to Have Fun is very similiar to Greg Laswell's version which was featured on the Confessions of a Shopaholics OST.

Sam being back, hated him before, but knowing that he was a male stripper kind of put him on the interesting list again.

They all sing 3 songs, but since the show focuses on ND they actually air all their songs in the episode.

I can't believe they followed up last years christmas episode with this shit. This episode was ok until it turned into a 30 min "lets just have a cheesy christmas special"... Last year was really funny, but sweet at the same time... this episode just blew.
