    One of the weirdest things is, how many of you guys felt that her death was coming based on last week's episode? And then when it came back after that commercial and Fusco got out, I wanted her to die because the other option was Reese (or possibly Finch when he showed up, but let's face it, can that really happen....??). But yeah, when it did happen.. that was so sudden..

    Presumably the machine. It bugged me that the machine wouldn't warn them earlier, but then I thought about it more, and the way the machine works is probably the cause. I mean, Simmons probably wasn't calling anyone or discussing killing Carter/Reese, so the machine couldn't identify them as in danger. And since the entire city was looking for him, he was probably avoiding cameras, so the machine knew there was someone who was dangerous out there, but had no idea who he was putting in danger. So then when he surfaced, the machine calculated what he was going to do, but it was too late..

    technically it gave warning a while ago. Simmons intent was to kill Reese. Carter just got in the way. Honestly I'm kinda glad. That love story seemed to come out of nowhere to me. Didn't wanna see it drag on.

    I really can't believe they killed off Carter. =/ The love story did seem somewhat rushed or forced, but really made me feel like one of them was going to die because of it....and one did! Fusco scenes were definitely the high points of the episode though (even though the whole episode was fantastic), had me tearing up. D:


    edit: Just realized that wasn't anywhere near the final episode of the season. >.> For some reason that felt like a finale to me, so much of the season left though lol.

    I dont think it was so much as a love story, but more of a gesture of appreciation. If Carter hadn't arrested him he wouldn't have met finch and began leading a life of purpose. Carter becoming a close friend and ally. But then again they always did have a little chemistry. that was evident a few episodes ago when the 3 ladies were in the club and Shaw asked Carter about John.

    The Fusco scene... my god that had me on edge. It was definitely sudden at the ending, but I could feel it the whole episode there was no way it would wrap up so peacefully.

    I have to say, some Person of Interest characters seem to always be having close calls. Carter has had them all season.
    NOLAN: Reese says to Finch in the pilot, ‘If we keep doing this, we’ll both probably wind up dead.’ And he’s telling the truth, and we’re telling the truth as writers in that scene. We’re not bullshitting around. All of our characters are gonna bite it at some point. The nature of what these people have chosen to do is extremely, extremely dangerous. That’s how the show works, and you have to watch because we’re not going to save it for the season finale.
