I had forgotten about Root's people, so was nice seeing what their purpose was. Was kinda expecting the guy who hopped into the front to betray her or something -- and still kinda expecting him to return next week.

Also, so the question is, was Colier's brother a terrorist or not? I'm inclined to believe that the machine did not screw up and next week we're gonna find out he was involved in more than Colier believed.

It was great backstory to get, all whilst moving the plot at a steady clip, and keeping everything epic. If I were to have to provide an example of excellent pacing to anyone creating media, Person of Interest would be my go to.

Regarding Collier, I'm reminded of a quote from Pratchett and Gaiman.

Interested to see where they go from here. Most shows like to twist everything around in the final EP of a season and then revert back to normal within < 5 episodes. I have greater expectations for this show though. So the question is will they do it right or will they Archer: Vice it?

I don't imagine they'll revert back too quickly, just because I can't see how they'd pull that off. That said, I imagine if you look at what I said following the season 1 finale, I probably said something similar. But, as shocking as Finch getting captured was, this is infinitely a bigger deal. I feel this is going to fundamentally change the show. If they're all living these alternative lives, there's no way that they can keep saving lives and what not, right? It looks like the show is going to have to be built around trying to fight Samaritan next season, and if so, it's gonna have to build up from Root, not the others.
