Haven't they always done that?
and why is that really awesome? sounds limiting to me.

The monsters that had previously been pitched/appeared on show were based on myths and lores from around the world but Kripke and his crew always put their own twist on them unique to the Supernatural universe. The way I understood it when Sera Gamble talked about it, was that it wouldn't be changed much and would try to stay close to the origin material instead. I could have taken that wrong however, but that's how I felt she was describing it.
Thanks Qal. DVR decided not to record it tonight.

FYI, if they are "staying completely true to source material" this season, they've done a horrendously terrible job thus far lol
They obviously need someone to bail their shit out this season I just wonder who that will be. Someone will have to tell them how to fight the Leviathans and help them.
I think the biggest problem they have (in terms of sticking with keeping things close to the "source material") is that they seem to have to make everything humanoid. My memory is God awful so maybe I'm forgetting something, but the only thing I can think of that isn't just some humanoid with a tiny bit of make up is the Hellhounds and well... they're invisible, lol. Probably too hard or costs too much to do more than that or something, but either way I think it really detracts from the variety of the monsters/demons/whatever.
They used to be more creative with their humanoids, though. Looking at season 1 and 2, I never thought "Oh, good /sarcasm, Bloody Mary - another humanoid." The lack of special effects didn't bother me, because of that. Nowadays it's like they don't even try anymore. Slap the scary thing in a vessel and call it a day.![]()
Wtf when did this come outttt. Love the shit outta this show. Might wait til its the end of the season so i can watch them all in a bunch. I hate waiting week to week for episodes
Bobby wont be dying anytime soon, atleast I dont think. Jim Beaver is due back in Vancouver to start filming again later this week
Ahh fuck me, thought today was Friday![]()
damn you! I thought I was going to have a link to download!![]()
Qal to the rescue!
Was a pretty good episode, but didn't have me flailing all over with excitement. Though I LOL'd IRL at the "Howdy, Sam" moment. That was sweet.
Also, Kaylee. <3
Edit: Next week looks awesome like whoa.
I loved how Dean was sleeping on the couch and the tv in the background was playing "My Bloodiest Valentine in 3D on TV."

Decent episode. Low point of the season so far though. Retread a lot of ground with it.
Not necessarily a bad episode, but definitely a let down from the last couple episodes.
Totally agree with the AV Club on this one... retreading a lot of ground. AV Club was pretty much dead on.

Next week looks good though.
