As much as I don't want Bobby to die, I'd be mad if they brought him back/he didn't end up dying. One thing is for sure, Sam and Dean are going to unleash the fury on the leviathans >.>

I thought they made it pretty clear he died at the end of the episode. The only question is if his spirit is going with the reaper or if it's staying. I'd say they are actually going to leave that unanswered.

Lost in the Bobby drama, was Dean saying to Dick "You're either laughing because you're scared or you're laughing because you're stupid." Dean is such a boss lol.

Also, if this is in fact the end for Bobby I have a theory that

Bobby dies, but refuses to go with the reaper and his soul stays behind, and he somehow finds a way to help the boys kills the Leviathans from the grave, sorta like how John escaped from Hell at the end of season two to allow them to kill Azazel.

Just wrapped up season 4 last night. Thought for sure Dean would be able to stop Sam from killing Lilith. Always had my qualms about Ruby. Felt so good to scream "I told you so!!!" at the gf. Excited to start season 5.

Considering that the cast was whittled down this season to just Bobby and the boys vs everything... I think death has been on a pretty good roll.

Considering that the cast was whittled down this season to just Bobby and the boys vs everything... I think death has been on a pretty good roll.

Doesn't matter if they stick or not, the point is that dead never means dead and gone with this show, and it significantly lessens the impact of those deaths. I blame this partially on the rabid fanbase out there, who screeches and screams until the writers give in (whether a character is dead or alive). The difference is, bringing back live guest stars is a lot easier than bringing back dead ones. In fact, I think the only guest star people have been HOLLERING for, for years, who has yet to make a reappearance on the show, is Missouri. The list above is still a long list of people who should have been dead, but who were all brought back for another guest stint on the show. Most shows of Supernatural's nature will at some point bring back a late great fan favorite, but Supernatural really seems to just be going through the list.

I still love the crap out of this stupid show, but I'd love it a whole lot more if they hadn't set a precedent that caused my immediate reaction over Bobby's death to be, "Big deal, he'll probably guest star again later this season anyway."
