I know this was a concern for many of us on the Amazon forums and maybe after we bitched enough they finally woke the fuck up. One thing you'll notice is that when selecting your reward car for leveling up, you can't see the car's stats. Yes, as dumb as that sounds, its true and I have no idea why they did that. But, each car offered will usually be upgraded close to the max of the car class shown on the top right (within a few points).

Hmmm...nobody knows if I redeem cars on a Live account, if a non-Live account would be able to access those cars? This sort of thing should be the same for other kinds of DLC, right?

I loved me some GT5 when it came out, but Forza 4 just took a huge steaming shit all over Polyphony's sound department.

wow those cars sound amazing. Another thing I love is that under braking, you can hear the calipers squeezing the pads against the rotors.

Most wheels only work with PC/PS3 due to non-standard USB on 360, so if you have a $200-1000 wheel you probably have a pc and a ps3, to bother w/ forza you need to either buy an adapter for the wheel and pray, buy a 360 wheel ( all shit except the new fanatecs, enjoy the extra $500 spend there + xbox+game ) = $700 investment just for F4.

Nobody that plays these games seriously would use a controller = most of the crowd on pc/ps3.

So for the parts of the game people give a fuck about that are actually using wheels ( ie the handling, physics and mechanics ) what makes forza better than gt5 in your vast experience with both titles, or is that just an opinion coming out of a hole?

I've been playing GT since the PS1 days and while I have fond memories of the game, I usually have more fun with Forza. The sound in Forza 4 alone sets the game far above GT5 imo. You can have the most realistically detailed cars in the industry but if they sound like synthetic wind up cars, that just ruins the immersion for me.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm excited to see what comes out of racing games next generation.

Haha, nice Skidz! I went home for lunch and saw my ups package on the porch. Ran inside and got all the DLC and 2nd disc installed and ran the first "tutorial" race and imported my profile. Man that introduction race was terrible. It obviously had all the assists on and it was braking and everything for me. I kinda wish it gave you a chance to skip it but oh well. Didn't actually get to do any real racing, guess that will have to come after work!
