thats the real problem. Show is cute, the wedding episode made it look like there was a lot more untapped potential there, but its not really panning out. This week's episode was cute, but her "quirkiness" is going to get really old really fast. The series can't have her be an "adult" version of Britney from Glee forever.
I doubt they will do a romance between her and one of the guys in the first season. They picked it up for a full season, I dont see them doing anything risky like that quite yet.
There will be a romance with her and Nick, but I agree that it won't be the first season. Probably get the "romantic sexual tension" all through the second and possibly third season, then a romance in the fourth. Possible "slept together which was a huge mistake but we really like each other but won't admit it" episode in the second (season ending cliffhanger) or beginning of third season.
Trope all the things.
kimono was frighteningly short
This episode was great. This is the kind of dynamic that needs to keep up for the show to be excellent. Schmidt is definitely still winning, and I like the new black guy a lot more now.
Jess was toned down a lot this episode. Inevitable Nick & Jess romance is inevitable.
She was toned down a lot, but she was cute and weird and I think this is the level Jess more or less needs to be at. I think they're pushing the romance because they're worried? I think it's still too early for it, but it was funny seeing Nick react to it.
This episode is off to a great start!
Spoiler: show
This episode was fuckin' hilarious!Spoiler: show
Great episode, I'm loving the cast more and more each week (Jess is more or less the same, the show really depends on how the guys react to her).
What I like is that the show has kinda move away from concentrating on her every episode. Yes Schmidt is definitely stealing the show. Some great comedy between him and Cece. What I notice though they are trying to basically reach multiple comedy types with how different each characters personality. Pretty good.
Show is consistently very funny. It's up there w/ Big Bang Theory on truly funny TV shows for me. I agree that it's good they don't focus on Jess on each character brings a lot to the table, though Schmidt by far steals the show
I think New Girl is better than Whitney. Whitney is funny, but it errs on the side of cookie cutter while New Girl is bizarre at times.
Whitney doesn't use a laugh track. It's filmed in front of a live studio audience. She says it at the beginning.
I fucking love Schmidt in the last episode. His overreactions are priceless.
"Wha-No! No! LOOK AT THIS RECIPE! Where does it say put mashed potatoes on Schmidt's nose!
Also: Cece is so hot.
