Personally, I think they dialed Jess down a bit, and she really doesn't annoy me at all now. I think she's an integral part to the group dynamics and none of the plots would really happen without her around. Plus, saying the main character of the show should leave doesn't make a ton of sense. Sidenote, the level of hate people have for Zooey Deschanel really amuses me.

Except people got butthurt over my tastes first, I'm just defending my stance. If you actually read the thread you would know I have said (and do say) lots of good things about this show (and my stance on Jess hasn't really changed, so it's no surprise). Just because I'm vocal about the aspect I don't like people get defensive instead of mindlessly praising a shitty aspect that I wish would improve so my enjoyment of the show could increase. Is that so terrible? I don't think it is.

No show is immune to criticism, just look at any other thread to see that.
