Yeah, I'm sure it'll be basement baby. They better give us a better look this time. When Nora went to see him in the nursery it was making all sorts of hissing sounds. All I keep seeing is Maggie from The Simpsons in that episode where the alien got Marge pregnant. xD

It's the shock factor I think that keeps bringing me back. I thought the pilot borrowed so much from other horror films and mashed it all together hastily. After episode 3 I was hooked though. ^^

Someone posted an article a while back about it being renewed for a 2nd season. Ryan Murphy said something along the lines of originally he planned it as a one off series and (Major Potential Spoiler)

he was planning on killing off the Harmon family.

Personally I think they'll just do a new location + new characters and tell a somewhat different American Horror Story.

I'm still waiting for the explanation of why all these ghosts are trapped in the house. As for what the exterminator finds next week, I'm thinking all the organs in jars from ghost doctor.

finding jars of dead stuff doesn't seem scream worthy to me. That's more of a "whats that? eww that's gross" kind of thing.
My 1st thought was that he had found some dead bodies, most likely the 2 serial killer admirer burglar people.

So when Tate and Violet brought that girl down to the basement in one of the earlier episodes, and that monster thing fucked her up and scratched her face, just what ghost was that supposed to be? It hasn't really been referenced since. The only thing I could think of is the doctors mutant baby creation.

My wife and I were talking about when the last time was that we saw her leave the house. As soon as we started watching for that... it was almost too obvious. She hadn't hung out with her 'friend' in forever. That was the last time we remember her being outside. She tried to leave with her mother but they got scared back in the house, and every time since Tate somehow stopped her from leaving. Her not making it out of the driveway with her mom was what sealed it for me. The truant officer was the absolute clincher.

We assumed that he really did slit her throat and it wasn't a hallucination, and that was why he was trying to get her to 'kill herself'.

So, wasn't the reason for Tate seeing Ben so he would figure out he was dead and move on? Or was it to help him remember what he did? Because he tells Violet he's been wanting to tell her since they met he was dead and I thought that was a bit odd. I could be wrong though, need to re-watch the episode.

So, wasn't the reason for Tate seeing Ben so he would figure out he was dead and move on? Or was it to help him remember what he did? Because he tells Violet he's been wanting to tell her since they met he was dead and I thought that was a bit odd. I could be wrong though, need to re-watch the episode.

That is what Constance told Violet, but I'd say that could be a lie Constance told Violet so she wouldn't go telling people about the ghosts.
I'd say Constance wouldn't want to lose Tate and would rather him be there so she can keep seeing him, just like how she tried to drag whatshername to the house when she got hit by the car and when she was happy that her boyfriend was a ghost in the house.
The real reason Constance sent Tate to see Ben is so he'll be a less fucked up person.

The way they handled Violet's death and the reveal were pretty damn spot on. It wasn't cliched or anything. Her trying to run out of the house only to appear back inside was pretty cool. The whole time I couldn't help but think of "House of Leaves" though I know the reference wasn't there. Also, Violet discovering her own body was absolutely horrifying and the way Tate described her death was just depressing. Overall, great episode. Only two more left; I wonder if they really are going to kill off the rest of the family...

I only see a few options for how this will end, and I doubt it will be good for any of them;
Ben is either sent to jail for the Exterminator's death and for Violet's, or at least covering up and hiding her death. Or Ben is killed by a ghost or by his wife or constance.
Wife will either stay locked up in the hospital or come back to the house only to continue to get driven crazy and is sent back permanently shortly after that. I don't think she'll be killed.

My personal guess; Ben confronts Constance and says he's going to take care of Tate(or he'll call the cops or something), and Constance ends up killing Ben. At the same time, Burned guy spills that he killed deformed attic kid on Constance's behalf. Cops go to arrest Constance and find she has killed Ben, then they find some of the bodies around the house. Wife, still locked up in the hospital, gives birth to her twins. One of them is obviously evil. Wife dies in childbirth.
But hell, I'm not very good at guessing stuff with this show.

From the preview I saw of next week's show, the wife is out of the hospital and ends up back at the house... ends up inside as she starts going into labor in the car, shit hits fan

I don't think he will confess to killing Constance's other son; the whole burned family scene and his wife telling him that he was close to redemption makes me believe that he will do whatever it takes to redeem himself, not necessarily turning Constance in. Though, this is up to debate (per usual).

I think Ben's going to die either way. Constance will kill him or Tate will kill him. Surprisingly, I hated Hayden's character, but damn, shes really turned into a terror. I LOVE that shes "uniting" the ghosts against the family, its amazing

The scene where they discovered the body in the basement...can't get that image out of my head. Probably the most disturbing thing I've seen on this show so far.

I don't know what it is about it. Maybe it's the way her hands and arms are all bent, the bugs or the eyes. The burned people just look like they're glowing. The prohibition agent in Boardwalk Empire looked a hell of a lot worse with his burns.
