why was the maid old? I understood it when she was pretending to be old to mess with the wife/ben, but it seems to be her true form?
even if she was still alive she wouldn't have looked that old.

Saw that she was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Drama. I really fucking hope that she takes it. She was just amazing, amazing amazing.

Called it. :D I'm kinda sad that we won't be seeing the Harmons or Constance again. Any ideas where the next season will be set? I remember Billy Dean (Psychic Lady) mentioned something about asylums and prisons having the same powerful energy as the house so possible next season will take place in either of those?

My guess was all new family in same house. But a new location would be entertaining as well. When it comes to completely changing things up they live or die by the casting. It's not like other shows where you have time to gradually warm up to people. With the one season series format strong casting is imperative. Starting over with a new cast is disappointing because you lose some amazing characters/actors. Using Jessica Lange's character in just one season is a waste of her considerable talents.

I could swear the maid had a conversation early on with someone where she mentions she reveals herself to someone in the way they want to see her/are comfortable with.

it's funny cause i was just thinking that the show went on about 15 minutes too long (though i'm rather appreciative that the ending didn't try to suck the life out of me), and then the kid. UGH so freaking creepy.

If they're are going to a totally different location/story/etc next season, I'm kinda pissed because I want to see what's going to happen with that kid.

I think they might still try to fit him and Constance somewhere there. Because he could be a sort of key point in the whole story, and Constance just because she's so amazing.
