That was pretty hard to watch. I think Kit may be part alien or something, there just seems to be something more with him. I believe Lana will live only because Quinto's character seems keen on her telling his story, especially so after that monologue he gave about his mommy issues.

I don't know why I nearly puked when he started sucking her tits lol. Maybe shouldn't watch this show while gobbling down thanksgiving dinner.

It shocks me how many people don't watch this show when every episode has left me wanting more and more. Even here on bluegartr, walking dead has about 5~10 pages of comments per episode, where this thread is lucky to get 1~2. Don't get me wrong, I love walking dead and I think its great, but, on a personal level and that of a few people I know who watch both American Horror story is better written, produced and acted.

    Episode 7 Preview;

    Spoiler: show
    Frances Conroy is back! :D

I'm really enjoying this season of AHS, but I'm still not sure where they're going with some of their plot points. Aliens & the Devil. Is there going to be some kind of bizarre extra-terrestial / satanic showdown? .___.

As soon as Quinto had Kitt confess on the recorder, I knew he was the killer dude. Up until then though, since his character has been around for so long, it was back and forth between if Kitt really did it or the other Nazi Doctor, or someone else. Then the Nun ran into an alien, the other chick got abducted, saw Kitt's wife, shit got crazy lol. This season is p.good.

Personal opinion, I'm sure others disagree, etc, but this seasons is losing me.

Spoilered for shits sake; summarizes plot points in the season.
    Spoiler: show
I really enjoyed the first, but this one has been meh. I'm seeing it out until the end in hope that it starts to pull itself together, but... so far I've just continually lost more and more interest.

I don't really care about any of the characters or their individual storylines (character development has just been spread too thin to do it all in one season); none of which seem to interlace or even contribute to any kind of a central storyline.

The plot lines aren't very well-developed either, and just have been rather uninteresting and all over the place. A nazi doctor, the token serial killer, a possessed nun, an alien abduction, etc... none of which are likely to be related at all or even appear to be the least bit uniquely different from the typical recycled horror themes. It just comes off as adapting a quantity over quality approach to me.

I just don't think it will work out and end up doing all (or any) of these characters/plots justice. We're more than halfway through the season, and everything has to be wrapped up by the end if this show is to continue the one-season-per-story approach.

Waiting it out and hoping I'm wrong!

Possibly, but I already acknowledged as much. Different people, different opinions, etc.

But, what exactly are you disagreeing with? Are you simply disagreeng in that you believe the seasons is good (which is of course fair), or do you disagree with the specifics I mentioned?

Specifics being: Do you feel a strong connection to these characters and their stories? Do you find the various plots interesting and unique? Do you believe the season has plenty of time to do fair justice to it all?

Those aspects of a TV show matter in different amounts to different people, of course, which is why I again said different opinions, etc. But to me, they matter more than most aspects... and in my opinion, the show hasn't fared too well in those areas thus far.

Like, personally, there isn't a single character in the show that could die/disappear in the next episode and disappoint/sadden me. I absolutely love the actors, and sure I might miss some of them under that scenario, but the characters themselves? Meh... which is part of what makes it hard for me to have as much interest in the show.

Eh? The first season is very different from the second season, and I enjoyed the first season.

I agree about characters being spread rather thin. We've barely seen anything of Kit and the French girl, I really don't see the point of either of them right now except for Thredson having someone to pin his crimes on. :/

it's always been a "throw everything in and enjoy the mess" kind of show, that's the point, it's a big chunky stew of horror tropes

I've been at low interest for this show since episode 1 season 1.
Not for any of the reasons stated above though. I'm not really sure why. It keeps me just interested enough to keep tuning in week after week.

That isn't my problem with the show though my primary issue is that I simply haven't been given any reason/desire to care for the characters of this season. The development of these characters has been rather poor/shallow, IMO, which isn't a good place to be in at more than half-way through a one-season show.

I love the actors, but just not the characters.

I'm pretty sure there's a middleground somewhere between 'superdeep relatable characters to care for' and nothing.

I clearly don't watch this show expecting incredibly deep and groundbreakingly complex character development, storylines, and twists... but I still expect more than a random sequence of storylines and characters that have little to no depth, commonality, or anything particularly unique or of interest. Not that I would describe the show as the ladder, but it's certainly closer to that than I would like it to be (which is my issue).

Last season simply did much better in that sense.

Satanic nun is stealing the show (at least for me) right now.

    Also, wtf was that?

All I know is that more Frances Conroy is never a bad thing. Ever. Excited for tomorrow's episode.

I figured out why I'm not really all that interested this season.
There's no real story to this season. No plot. Maybe once every 3 episodes we get a little mystery of who-done-it, then the rest is all just a random assortment of scenes and monsters of the week set-up type stuff.
