I don't have a clue as to what it is you are trying to insinuate.

I can only guess that you are trying to say that I shouldn't be expecting a television show to have a decent story and instead, I was expecting a 90's film that involved mental disability?

Season 1 had a single over arcing story. The story of a family and their life inside a haunted house. That story was threaded with other smaller stories.
This season is a dozen small stories barely threaded together with no backbone to hold it all together. and it really doesn't help that each week seems to be just another "monster of the week" that ends up having huge repercussions. It just makes everything so random and contrived. The only character that seems to be getting any development is Lange's. Everyone else is just a 1 dimensional character.
It feels like they wanted to do a season of 1-shot episodes like The Twilight Zone, but then decided to cut up each episode in 5 minute chunks and then piece them all together.

Just saw last weeks episode. Loved it, but did anyone find it a bit extra gory? I'm normally not squeamish but I can't watch people cutting their hands /arms and it happened like 3/4 times. Shit freaks me out.

So I just finished watching S1 on netflix, and while I did enjoy it there were far to many breaks in continuity for my taste. So my question is does S2 follow the same just shut up and watch style of story telling? I'm afraid I just can't turn my brain off in this type of show, and if it follows the same pattern S1 did then it's most likely just not going to be a show I can watch week to week.

It's a bit different than season 1, imo for the worst.

Though you are going to have to explain what you mean by "breaks in continuity", because either most people missed the continuity problems/were so small they didn't matter or you don't know what that means.

I guess what bothered me were the rules for ghost seemed different depending on what the story needed them to do. The maid aged, but Tate was forever a teenager. Some ghost showed no signs of what they died from were others had massive wounds/burns and so on. I'm willing to except that It's most likely me just being way to hard on the show, but if it still follows that pattern then there isn't any point for me to try and watch.

The Maid didn't age. To men, she appeared as the sexy maid and to women she appeared as the old hag.
What ghosts kept their injuries on their body? The only person with visible wounds was the guy who was burned in the fire and he wasn't a ghost...

There was the wife of the abortion doctor. but the main characters never saw the wounds i think that was more for the viewers

There's a line towards the end when the burned guy sees his family and he asks his wife why does he see them now. She says "Because you're ready to see." The maid says something like that to the main guy too when he finally sees her as old hag. I think it's they mean to show us different views, those who perceive things as they are and those who are not ready to do so.

Eh, it looked completely fake if you mean the 'dream' death. The black dude's arms though, I expected them to be more cut up considering the machine being used.

Edit. didn't realise we were on a new page.

Why do you keep posting in this thread if you don't like the show?

Last night's episode was damn solid. I'm patiently awaiting the Sister Jude vs Sister Eunice inevitable showdown. Jessica Lange is such a terrific actress.
