I've been routinely impressed with their revamping the same actors into new stories each season. It's a surprisingly pleasing way to go about running a show.

For the first episode, I was ...

surprised how much content they packed into it at once. There's A LOT going on already. I am not sure whether or not that's a good thing. My sister seemed a bit turned off by it. (Because the believability goes down when so many unbelievable things happen in such a short time span. It can make it hard to empathize with a character.) I am on the fence a bit, mostly because I enjoyed how a lot of the action played out. (And there was -a lot- of crazy going on, very quickly..) I found myself a bit viciously pleased when the bus flipped and all those terrible guys died. Doubly so when she took out some personal revenge on one. Oh, and .. wewt! Zombies. I hope they pull them off with flying colors, and that the Franken-en-kid develops interestingly. I'm anxious, also, to see more familiar faces.

Oh, and.. I really hope they do a lot more trips back to older times, like the witch trials. I was a bit disappointed to see that one larger woman come into the present so quick. (Like I said, so much happened in the first episode it was a bit overwhelming..)

Anyone else have thoughts on the initial episode?

This season is even better than 1. No waiting three weeks to see what is going on, which means that the real plot isn't just finding out that they are witches, but hopefully we get some demons and shit.

I love AHS but I wouldn't claim this season is the best just yet. Seasons 1 & 2 had moments that genuinely scared the shit outta me, 3 has yet to do this. I do love this season's concept though, I expect lots of trouble to come from the girls' pact with Satan to try to resurrect frat boy.

I don't know what was worse. Queenie trying to get freaky with a Minotaur, or frankenboy getting super molested by his stoner mother. Not scary to me. Just fooked up.

I can't believe more people aren't talking about the insanity that is currently this show right now..

Horror is difficult to sustain over an extended period of time; thats why TV shows generally stay far away from that theme.

AHS seems to accomplish it by touching topics old as time, but, generally not shown/discussed in TV (and doing them well!).

I just fear there arent that many more topics left to get that same 'oh mai god I'm really freaked/ I want to rip my eye balls out' feeling. ...Have they done cannabilsm yet?

Just finished watching episode 3. This season is the best one to me, hands down. Just so much shit going on, I'm trippin' (in a good way). Too much fun.
