    the incest is definitely worse. it made me hold my head and wince - very few things make me feel that uncomfortable

    as soon as they showed Obama and LaLaurie crying I burst out laughing, that was incredible

    Seriously. I can't recall being so disturbed from a TV show, ever. Usually it's a movie that can only pull that kinda crap. I'm both impressed and shocked they're able to get away with doing that sort of extreme.

    Is it weird how the gore doesn't phase me nearly as much as twisted sexual crap they pull off? Or is that a common feeling with people these days?

    If so, I don't blame them for reaching for these insane moves. They've got some awesome gore to compete with for ratings, like Walking Dead zombie head smashing and such.

    Does make me wonder what extremes they'll go to next, though.

    I think that's definitely a common feeling now because weird erotica is way less prevalent than violence.

    They go pretty hard on the gore but like you said TWD does too and so does every horror movie so people are used to it.

    Those disturbing moments are part of what makes it a good show imo - nothing is taboo.

    pretty much. in this day and age gore is nothing (even though that lady with her face smashed in and the kids with their body parts in piles freaked me out).

    AHS, however, throws as much rape in your face as possible. incest, school shootings (this one really horrified me), etc. aren't held back and it makes the show stand out

    Really sad that Madison died. From reading online a lot of people don't like Emma Roberts but I think she's a good actress lol looking forward to seeing more salem witches in the upcoming episdoes! and I'm sure we'll see more of Madison in a unique manner...

    Love the Halloween episodes. Really liked season 1's the best because school shooting, but if I recall that wasn't revealed until an episode later(?). Next episode looks promising.

    I enjoyed the Halloween-esque feeling of the last episode. It's my favorite holiday, so I'm glad they paid homage.
