Went up there and got 2 pairs of glasses. TV was supposed come with two pairs and the associates failed to give them to me. Another woman was up there bitching about the same thing.

You'd be surprised on how poorly trained some people can be, Aylee. It's diappointing. I was given two hours of training on a computer and thrown on a register with a horde of psychotic customers looking as though they want to kill me for struggling with ringing them up. "Oh, that rang up twice by mistake, one moment sir". "Cancel item, ok". Your total is blah blah fuck off bitch blah blah. "EHEHE, YEEESSS, CAN I HAVE A RECEIPT?" *prints out receipt* "HAI WTF IS DIS ON MY RECEIPT. I THOUGH YOU CANCELLED IT, OH EM GEE". "I did ma'am, that little notation is stating that it was taken off the purchase, note the subtraction sign in front of the item price. No worries!"

On that note, are those extra warranty packages ever worth it?

Fuck. Yes. Only if the cost is proportional to the loss. If you're paying $1000 for 5 years of coverage on a $2000 TV it's not worth it.

I think the ratio is something like 10-25% of the cost and it's a deal. Sears in particular prices its agreements according to the likelihood of failure. The cheaper the agreement, the less likely it is to fail or they will lose less money should they have to repair or replace it.
