Heres my issue with Matt Ryan, he's peaked, he is not going to get much better, he is in a run first offense that is very dink and dunk, he also checks down a whole lot which I think is more on the coaching than him. The Falcons aren't really built to come back once they get down, they're built to play with the lead which is why teams like the packers can jump out ahead and once the Falcons abandon Turner and the running game, its game over, he is not a QB that can come back to win a game if they fall down 21+ because of the nature of their offense. The Packers, Saints and even the Eagles have offenses where no leads are ever safe if they fall behind 20+ points, these three teams can also win with turnovers on offense, the Falcons simply have to play mistake free which is hard to consistently do.

I don't think their offense is good enough for the post season, they remind me of the Saints of the early 90's that ran basically the same offense, run first, dink and dunk their way down the field, we could never hang with the 49'ers high powered offenses back then because they were going to score no matter how good your defense was.

The Falcons have a lot of talent but Matt Ryan isn't elite by any means no matter how much ESPN wants to put him in the conversation.

Eh, wrong but you are entitled to your opinion. The conservative nature of the offense has held him back for a while and now that we would like to use more deep routes, we can't because we can't pass protect for shit.

I'm was sucking off Matty Ice earlier, but I agree, not elite. Yeah, he's worthy of being a "franchise QB", but Rodgers, Manning, Brady, Brees he's not. In two years, he could be the 4th best QB in his own division.

getting at semantics now to define "elite," but obviously he can't touch the 4 you mentioned. he has the mental capacity to do it(and Manning and Brady happen to be the 2 QBs he studies the most), but I would never suggest he was really even close to those 4 yet
