This is fair. The "elite" argument is one I'm not going to get into. But this is how I view NFL QBs: Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Brees - then a group with Roethlisberger, Rivers, Ryan and others, in which you can make an argument Ryan is comparable to any of them.

It's nice to have a top 10 QB.
You have watched all of the Miami games this season, I assume. Do you think he is deserving of that solid a QBR? Honest question.

if matt ryan is deserving of being in company of big ben and rivers, then so is matt cassell.

I don't consider Ryan better than Big Ben, but how can you say Rivers is definitively better than Ryan?

Honestly? Maybe. Brandon Marshall leads the league in dropped passes and he's dropped some huge huge plays, including TDs. Two of his INTs were on final plays where he was just throwing it up because throwing it away wasn't an option. I don't think he's played bad by any stretch.

Did you see the guys he threw to last year before Vjax finally came back (and still did nothing anyway)? Or who's coaching him? Norv "I can fuck up a wet dream" Turner lol.

But seriously. Matt Ryan's got the weapons, has the consistent RB (that they took from SD, oops).. and Rivers had Gates (who was hurt all the god damn time) and <insertnamesthatidon'trememberhere>

and I don't think Henne deserves Top 10, but that's because I haven't watched all the games and I see they're 0-4. how does Mr. Soprano still have a job lol

I have read only good things about his play this year, so I didn't think it strange that he was ranked that highly.

I'm still going to be pissed if they don't draft Luck/Barkley. I really really don't want Landry Jones though.

Romo is in that same second tier imo.

There are just SO many things to account for before you can say, "psh! herpQB is clearly better than derpQB!"

You also have to consider turnovers(which have a HUGE impact on W/L), taking sacks, penalties, etc.

And yet every NFL thread seems to devolve into that.

seriously though, matt cassel career numbers are very much on par with matt ryan, including playoff appearances. How come one is elite and the other is terrible

Barkley looks much less of a system guy than Lienart ever was, and he's started since he was a freshman at a football powerhouse. There's something to be said about that. Seems like a good kid and has stayed in school and at USC despite a coaching change and sanctions. I'll happily take Barkley.
