Barkley looks much less of a system guy than Lienart ever was, and he's started since he was a freshman at a football powerhouse. There's something to be said about that. Seems like a good kid and has stayed in school and at USC despite a coaching change and sanctions. I'll happily take Barkley.

I get a distinct Jimmy Clausen vibe from Barkley. Former top overall prospect, golden boy mystique, plays well despite team failures at historic program, ran pro-style offense... I dunno maybe I'm way off base but I think Barkley will either fall in the draft or be a bust, or both.

I'm pretty sure there was character concerns and work ethic issues before the draft with Clausen (not to mention he was a, what, 4th round prospect). Almost as if he felt entitled. I've never seen anything like that reported on Barkley. I really don't see the Clausen comparison at all. By all accounts he works hard, plays well, and he's started more than a single season....the anti-sanchez and anti-leinart. Most NFL evaluators want their QBs to play in a pro style offense, why would that be used to downgrade him?
