I looked for his "under center" stats, but came up empty. 1st round QB busts aren't really that big of a deal anymore though, you don't lose $60 million signing them,

You won't lose as much time or money, however. The only reason Russell was given the starter job for so many games was because he was paid so much. Teams won't be so handcuffed to give them an extended chance with little investment. For example, if Newton was complete trash and a headcase, Carolina would have no problem dumping him next season, whereas before, he probably would have hung around for two or three more years. I've thought about this, and there's going to be a lot of gamesmanship at play if something like this happens. If St. Louis is #1 and Miami is #2, why would Miami trade them? They can call the Rams bluff and see if they'd actually pull the trigger. It could get really fucking interesting if you had the Rams and Colts with the first 2 picks, and a team like Miami or Seattle in the 3 spot.

Miami would have to trade them because the Rams could trade it to another team way down the line. There really is no bluff involved since picks aren't restricted to the point where you can only trade up or down one spot. So Miami would have to make an offer or see Luck fall to someone below them.

That doesn't sound right at all. I think it might be skewed a bit too due to late game drives where it's an obvious pass situation. Come to think of it, we've had possession during the last 1:30 or so of almost every single half this year.

Could be wrong, so I'd like to see a breakdown of it. From memory though the majority have been under center unless it was 2min drill.
