Let's whop his ass
i was in tears. not for the stuff i lost. but i never got so mad at the point of considering jail time to put that motherfucker in ICU. and im being dead. fucking. serious. i dont have a record, and having one notch and having to spend 2k to get it expunged was a possibility in my head. i've never killed anyone in my life, and im not capable of ever having that weight on me. but grabbing him by his throat and ramming my fist up his ugly fucking face until he was unconscious would've been on the equivalent of a virgin having sex for the 1st time. he's like 130-140 lbs. my fist is the size of 3/4 of his face.
i have people i love here. my best friend's mom called me her son. no one has ever said anything that nice to me before. the only reason i refrained was because i dont want to see the look on her face if she sees me in jail. i can deal with Tara and Kurt being disappointed in me. but not her. she really loves me, and i dont want fuck this up.
if he gets prosecuted or not. if i get my stuff back or not. im not going to let him get the best of me.
but man, you have no idea. i still havent seen him yet.
if he says the words "hello" to me, it'd be fucking on lol. i still need to cool off i guess.
im really angry for myself for feeling like this. fighting to me so pathetic and petty. but man, sometimes i'll find the justification for anything as long i have the urge to do it.
I'll refrain from the whole "This is why you don't cut druggies slack" rant and just strongly suggest you avoid him. Between him being skittish and finding out it was indeed his card and he hadn't lost it, it's looking more and more likely he's involved somehow. Don't fuck up your life over this loser no matter how tempting it may be to throw him through a wall.
Otherwise, what you're feeling isn't all that surprising. You tried to be a nice guy and it's looking like he betrayed your trust. You've got every right to be mad and for things to be made right. All I can suggest is that in the future, don't ignore your gut if you get vibes from people. Everything about him had you on edge before this incident, and while you tried to be the bigger man, well... ya.
thanks
its obvious he was involved. his actions speak louder than words, but the only direct evidence i have right now is the knife he left in my room. im hoping police scan it for prints and he wasnt wearing gloves. everything else is circumstantial.
and you're right. i'll do whatever i can in my arsenal to avoid him. but you dont understand. if he smiles and laughs about my stuff getting stolen, there's only so much i can handle, lol. i WOULD play some videogames to hold me over and escape from reality a bit, but you know. my monitor's gone :/ i DO have the serial for that though, which i gotta provide the police with later. my dad threw away the boxes for my ps3 back home
Well good luck in getting your things back. If you've got the serial number for the Ps3 you can have the police report it stolen with SCEA if it goes online they can find it. http://community.us.playstation.com/...art=0&tstart=0
Hopefully the cops in your area aren't lazy assholes and actually do it thou. I was actually robbed myself a while back, police said they wouldn't report it stolen just cuz "they don't do that". Building staff never turned over security footage to the cops and then lost it a month later (claim they didn't see anything though).
But yeah I know how ya feel, good luck's all I can say.
dont worry richardd buddy, just because you cant bring yourself to kill someone who deserves it, doesnt mean someone else cant.
Oh my, oh my! Is this the first BG hit? I think I know where the next donation drive is going! (THIS IS A JOKE)
Good luck getting your stuff back, Rich. In the end though, it's just stuff and isn't worth getting in trouble for. Get it back through the legal system, because that's why the whole thing exists anyway.
If you haven't already, start running through the motions of getting moved into a different apartment. Even if he winds up found guilty and arrested, that could be who knows how long from now.
Much as I hate to say it, the knife probably won't do much good. He lived there too, someone could probably argue his prints could be on it because of that and someone with gloves on could've done it anyway. Sadly, his parents would probably offer an alibi (was it REALLY his birthday?) and shaking down his buddies could be an exercise in futility. For now, the pawn shops are still your best hope on getting anything back with serials and such, but people could still sell shit on the sly.
Yeah, it'd certainly multiply my frustration coming from a not-so-well-off family, myself. As is, I've had drugs indirectly affect my life enough to refuse to be a saint on all the hippie freedoms some around here parade for. Otherwise, I've also had a college roommate steal things from me in the past, so Rich's situation isn't all that foreign to me. Luckily it was nothing expensive (mostly cookware and groceries, the guy literally moved out while I was in classes), but it was still frustrating and I had no real way to prove the stuff was mine. Would've been another story if he made off with my PC, since between money I'd saved up as a kid and a generous gift of cash from my grandparents, I probably would've went all William Wallace on his ass.Even worse, he's a spoiled mommies/daddys boy rich kid druggy.
What is it with universities never wanting to be involved with bad shit that happens on their campus?
Spoiler: show
yeah, it was his bday. he has a few cards laying around. but the police are skeptical about him actually ever leaving ETSU. When they called him, they claimed they lost signal a few times, and he kept hanging up when they were trying to ask him anything. If you've ever been to Knoxville, you'll know that you will HARDLY ever lose connection. the place is a haven for interwebz/phone connections. however, the dorms, campus, and anyplace indoors here have horrible connections.
his mom is super rich and very prideful of her son. he hiked the AT in 2 trips, and he is the 2nd coming of jeebus. I really dont think it would be beneath her to lie for the sake of her son not getting trouble, but i do believe she would still be pissed either way, lol.
i'll remain hopeful, but i'll plan for the worst. in any case, i will break my lease and see if i can just gtfo from here asap. i can deal with the loss of my things, but if it happened once, it can happen again. i dont want to ever feel obligated to wonder if my stuff is ok, 24/7 whenever i leave to go to class. its not worth it.
man, i was just starting to enjoy black ops on a ps3 pad. looks like this is my excuse to get a 360 now
at least something good came from it then. >_>
Sorry for your loss Rich. For future reference talk to some local insurance agents about getting a Personal Articles Policy. I have one for 2 computers and my digital camera. It covers theft and also if it's completely broken. For my policy there is no deductable and for $1k in coverage it cost me $30/year.
Do I smell a BG fundraiser?!!!
If your home is someplace you can't feel safe in, it's not worth calling a home.i'll remain hopeful, but i'll plan for the worst. in any case, i will break my lease and see if i can just gtfo from here asap. i can deal with the loss of my things, but if it happened once, it can happen again. i dont want to ever feel obligated to wonder if my stuff is ok, 24/7 whenever i leave to go to class. its not worth it.
Out of curiosity, might your friend with the "mom" be capable of putting you up for a bit if no readily appealing housing options are out there? Sounds like you'd be able to pay some kind of rent to them, so you wouldn't be a super burden in the interim. Just getting the fuck out of there ASAP sounds like the best thing you can do.
absolutelythanks to all of you guys for the support :D
but i dont need any money, or any more advice on how to not break his face, lol. i worked for everything i ever got. and i can do it all over again. its not a pride thing, but shit like this will only make me stronger mentally. but i cant thank you all enough for the PMs and legal advice.
Also, dood needs fucked up. Some people need to learn the hard way the value of respect. But don't do it right away. Police, campus, everyone will know it was you. Wait a few months, go to his dorm room at 2am knock on it and when he answers knock on his face. Obviously don't wear clothes that would let him identify you. And no I've never had to do this when I was at school and my roommate stole my laptop and Sega Saturn to pay for his new heroin addiction....
no, lol. fundraise CS a mcdonalds fund instead
breaking lease here is damn near impossible unless you have cause, which i do. i def think they'll make an exception, but Tara offered to let me stay with her until the semester ends. but living with her is like living with an annoying husband who is overenthusiastic and charismatic about football games when it comes to her WoW Raiding sessions. i can sleep through volcanoes, hurricanes and bombs, but not the sound of her yelling at idiots who dont have how to reposition themselves from mobs.
but i'll look more into this. thanks, man!
this man
make sure actually recording that call is legal in your state (assuming he didn't know about the recording), or sadly it can't ever be legally used :/
I remember a science class back in high school. This dude in my class opened up the coat he was wearing, and like some terrible cliche thief shit, he had a side of this coat covered in hot iPods. I found it hilarious, but declined his generous offer to sell one to me for cheap.
