PS2 'rare classics' coming to PSN

Backup utility requires an external hard drive in FAT32 format to dump the backup onto hence the 'second harddrive needed'.

I don't really see how else that would be done. You can copy a harddrive by connecting both hdds to the same system, which of course cannot be done with a single system. Or you can copy the contents to an external drive, and then copy them back to the new one. I mean, i suppose the external drive could be a networked computer, but if they wanted you to be able to do that, it wouldn't be encrypted in the first place, and you could just connect the hdd to your computer and copy it that way.

They gave PS+ for one month to everyone during that window during the 'welcome back' program back in May'ish, and those who had PS+ already got two extra months.

So did I, and I'll be disappointed if Odin Sphere doesn't get a proper 720/1080p treatment still.


Seems Sony never bothered updating their PS2 software for ingame XMB at any rate.

I am wondering about Odin Sphere HD as well. I just realized this may be a sign that we'll never get it... I would cry; Odin Sphere and Muramasa in HD might very well be the height of 2D graphics so far if they were done.

Y'all should be happy the world continues to get Vanillaware games. Dragon's Crown is in high def and the art is fucking gorgeous. I'd not ask them to go back and tinker with already well-received games.

^ leaning towards that, I'd be happy to see them but even in SD Muramasa looked amazing on a modern TV while other wii games were fucking eyesores.

hey now, I can feel lucky and still want more. we were promised Odin Sphere and Muramasa HD and we will damn well feel disappointed if we don't get them! :D

I am grateful they get localized at all though. Muramasa almost didn't. and now Grand Knights History is on the way too... JOY

The consumer reaction to these ps2 classics will surely inform any decision to re-release other classics in the future.
