Odin Sphere has problems in game play no doubt (which is fun don't get me wrong - cause Cornelius and Mercedes are awesome - but not without issues), but the story and characters really got me. Final book is amazing and I tell people that all the time. Satisfying ending, and final book 3 nearly made me cry (I would've if I wasn't actively trying not too lol)

So there's no chance of this re-release dealing with the slowdown problems in odin sphere, right?

More coming in the following week - http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/...-new-releases/
Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland – Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland takes the popular series in a whole new direction, offering a deeper and more robust role-playing experience. It might be best described as a ‘Life Simulation’.

    Raiden III –
Raiden III for PlayStation 2 is a port of the classic arcade shooter, complete with a stage select mode that lets you replay stages once you’ve cleared them. The series has transitioned from its 2D roots to 3D, creating lush environments, devastating explosions and countless enemies, without a drop in frame-rate. Two players can play together to push back the invading forces, just like in the arcade!

Bloodrayne – As the vampiric agent BloodRayne, you’ll travel through the eerie swamps of Louisiana, to Argentina and Germany in this battle-heavy, third-person thriller. The game features non-linear gameplay in more than 40 levels and three massive worlds, the ability to suck blood for health, and to use slow-motion, zoom and aura visions to aid in death dealing. Pull off fantastic acrobatic moves to bend the environment to your will and dispatch enemies with BloodRayne’s blades and kicks for awesome in-your-face combat.
Nowhere near as big an impact as the original batch, but at least they're releasing more, hopefully all for the same low $10 price also.

Yeah, I can't think up anything good at the moment, but I'm sure there's something good in there, conceptually. Also, not a huge fan of these three, leading off with the titles they have and then.. this. Not thrilled about this batch.

Why would you do that when it's already beautiful on an emulator?

You'll have to fork up $40 then.

I doubt they'd use this PS2 Classics service as a means of giving us triple-A PS2 games for the cheap.

Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland has to be the worst iteration in the series. Unlike the other games after you meet certain conditions, such as get married, the game automatically ends. This means there can be less than a year's worth of time in game, additionally their selection of crops is minimal.

The playstation version "Back to Nature" is significantly better and also available on PSN and playable on PSP.

Persona 3: FES will arrive on the U.S. PlayStation Store as a PS2 Classic next Tuesday, April 10, for $9.99, the latest PlayStation Blogcast has revealed.

The role-playing game is an updated version of the original Persona 3. In addition to the original game, it includes a new epilogue scene.

Vita can't play PS2 games, and no clue if they'll ever bother letting it, but if you want Persona 3 or other stuff similar, Atlus is having a sale on their PSP releases (playable on Vita) on PSN up until this coming Tuesday.

Problem I have now is if I want the PS2 version of Persona 3 for $10 with its lack of party control, or the PSP version which lacks some of the FES content, but refined the gameplay for $20.

Neither can the ps3 (excluding bc models), unless they port it.

Well, it was in the context of PS2 games from PSN.

At any rate, I hope this is news for more of Atlus' published stuff coming. It's easy money for them, particularly given their trademarked limited supply of nearly everything they published for PS2.

Pretty hot, might actually buy it, wanted to play it again lately, but my PS2 is back in my hometown. But then, there's the PSP version with superior battle controls ;<

Anyone know if you can access XMB while playing PS2 games from PS store? Or does it work the same way as PS1 games?

If PS2 Classics operate the same way as PS2 BC did, then no.
    Spoiler: show
I still don't know why PSX and BluRay still don't have ingame XMB either, it's not like either are RAM hogs, PS2 emulation might though.

Frig, did the game really use a full single-layered DVD, or does Sony take the lazy route with these PS2 Classics and just toss a full image on there?

Downloading as we speak, will be able to play in........4 hours.
