I laughed way harder at this than I should have."He who must not be named has returned"
Abyssea seems to be working fine...unless you count competition for the 10-15 minute Gukumatz competition?
Why exactly do LS's have to compete? I thought this was a PVE game.
Wouldnt that mean you're better or more efficient? What part of having a better bot means youre a better player?
sleeping with your laptop on botting claim and winning = so good you get sponsored by SE
When was Tanaka made Director? Isn't Mizuki Itto, who took over from Akihiko Matsui in 2010 the Director?
Even if he was Director, I still don't understand people saying "It must be Tanaka, he's come back and ruining the game" because of Voidwatch and 1500 Heavy Plates for empy trials. Afterall, they revamped Dynamis and WoE at the same time as releasing voidwatch, people seem to ignore those two very un-tanaka events in favour of focusing on the single tanaka-ish one. And also for Empy weapons, didn't they say they wanted to balance them out so at 99 they would be comparable to obtain as relics? Seems like they've done a good job on that.
I really don't understand the Tanaka hate. He was producer throughout all of abyssea after all wasn't he? And even if he wasn't and returned just in time to bring us voidwatch, he also brought us neo-dynamis and new WoE, sooo....
The WoE that drops shit like two leaf mandy buds in mandy conflux, and drops scrolls at an alarming 0.01% rate, and drops dice at a 5% rate needing 100 for the WoE weapon upgrade.
Walk of Summoner's? The event that is so exceptionally well designed that any job can go in and contribute without full support?
Tanaka may have always been the producer, but when his/whoever's attention was focused on ignoring all the feedback from the FF14 beta FFXI improved greatly.
I'm partial to blaming the director myself, this new guy could be going back to 'old style' updates because he's unwilling to take risks/has any idea's of his own. It's easier to point the blame at Tanaka because he has a history of completely fucking ignoring what the people playing his game want. See : CoP, Kings, Interviews with Bercus, FF14.
Thanks, I'm glad I got such an insightful response to my question that you bolded. If I might be so rude to ask, care to enlighten me on when he stepped down as producer, when he was re-instated and who was producer whilst he was away? I'd also be interested to know why you think he is/was a director? Or was that a typo and you always meant producer? But then as I say: When was this producer change?
Give me a good enough reason to get on the Tanaka-is-the-devil bandwagon and I shall. So far it's just people crying over Empy95 upgrades and Voidwatch, and wrongly stating Tanaka was reinstated as director, which just isn't true. This whole crusade looks to be built on tears and misinformation.
RE: WoE.
I'd forgotten about the scroll drops in WoE to be honest, they are terribad. I'd just focused on the Dice drop, which is decent and they're bazaarable, and the coin drop rate, which is very good.
Are you playing the same game?
i think he meant to post in the ff14 forums
