I actually love that song. And I accomplished EVERYTHING pre-abyssea so I dont give a shit about pre or post abyssea. What's so funny about staves being upgraded before Ukon anyway? Just because you have a weapon you think that will be more useful doesn't mean you are the number one and have to have the LS help you first. Another DD weapon Empy guy could say the same about you then.

Personally, if I would lead a LS where all plates go to one person, they would go to the person who is active the most. By active I mean, who attends the most, and who tells me in advance that he will be missing an event, and doesn't just stay away. If someone with an Ukon was in my LS who attends say half the events, and misses the rest without a notice/regular pattern cause of work/whatever, he wouldn't be the first to upgrade. If he complained about it over and over, he wouldn't have a place in the LS and can find himself a new one who is stupid enough to let him upgrade first. I can't tell you how much I wouldn't care which weapon it's for, you put effort into getting the right to upgrade it, you will get it.

That being said, having people donate all plates to one person as a rule sounds rather silly. While you can complete them faster this way, in smaller number LSs people have common sense and help each other out usually, thus setting an "order" themselves.

If you kill 100 qilins as a shell, you'll have 1500 plates. Not really that hard to kill 100 of them, but needs some dedication and pooling of plates for one guy. There's 12 guys in my shell who play every day, with others who are on whenever, so can't really just pick one and decide.

The point wasn't that there are multiple people who attend the same, but about the weapon people are upgrading. If there is someone who wants to do staff to 95 in that group of 12, why would he be the last of all? That's basically what Zag was saying, that the staff is useless and he feels fucked out from his 95 cause of the possibility of someone doing a staff before he can do his thing.

If the only one in your LS who attended a lot was someone wanting a staff 95, would you give him the plates or someone who attends less, but is doing a different weapon such as Ukon?

Think of this (right now atleast) like 2004-6 relic farming. You CAN simply farm your coins, all your coins...but even pooling them, youre not going to get very far, and you're going to have to purchase on the street.

IT DOES NOT MATTER what the staff is gonna do, if he put significantly more effort into the LS without obtaining more items/etc than the Ukon person, who is putting half the effort of the staff guy into the LS only, and not even bothering to notify the LS that he will be missing, he doesn't deserve the plates, at all.

I'm sorry for you if you think otherwise, but if you put it like that the Ukon person could be just missing all events and only come when you do Qilin then, and he would be assured he gets the plates anyway, no matter how much others attend. This would result in people leaving your LS because they feel fucked over, which would be right in that case, and you would have to recruit new ones who have no idea about Voidwatch, or shout for people to fill your ally up since you are stuck with the thought of needing an ally to be efficient.

Not to mention, friends of the ones who left wouldn't join as they know the policy you have about the plates, effectively lowering the amount of decent players wanting to join.

no, no, My life inside and outside of FF11 has ALWAYS been about fairness. I gotten into many agruments blowing up on ppl back then and almost getting banned many times because of unfairness from ppl. I'm known for never ninja lotting. I give ppl their speed belts and kraken clubs in the BCNMs.

I keep forgetting 2010 was the most fair year in this games history and ppl stopped being dicks at least on my server. Ppl didnt grab yellow mobs and they didnt ninjalot BCNM shit. They QMed like a bauce. Voidwatch is actually pretty good, i was wrong about it. They added a new Key item that tells you MAX stagger and that max stagger caps EVERTHING. Not to mention, merits and level cap will reduce the numbers even more. This event will be low-manned nicely and more pouches will drop next chapter and possible higher pouches like the linen pouch version of VW hopefully.... I will complete it, its not biggie, I got over it. its more that, I love helping ppl in life and in game cause im generous and I wanted the quest to be 150 plates so I can help my ENTIRE LS get their 95 weapon too. I do agree though that Plates will likely become much more common with next patch. I highly doubt SE would contain them to just T3+ from here on out. If they were solely limited to higher-tier mobs of each VW patch, nobody would bother farming the new higher-tier mobs since Qilin is so easy compared to most anything they could put out.

(granted, we're lucky to have 12 at this point, and the main WHM is usually dual-boxed by the main tank...) So as a shell, we basically will need 12,000 Heavy Metals...

Trial is shitty enough that I'd take the 95/99 Verethragna as a Mog Bonanza prize, despite already having the 90.

If you have a linkshell of 12 people and the one with the staff has high attendance and others don't, you have 1 event a week at most and it won't matter who starts anyway. Different with those who are stuck with 18 people, easier to skip etc etc.
