I HATE Kimmo Timmonen with a passion - I think hes a vastly overrated hockey player (not even in the top 50 defensemen in the league) but I feel so so bad for him when I look at that boxscore - 4 points and a +3 and his team still lost...

Edit: Worked his butt off too, 2nd on the team in ice time and blocked a few shots too...

Game Thoughts:

-If the Leafs were to win this, it would be from an imbalance in net. Who'd have thought King henrik would turn in a very plebeian .889SV? Sure the first goal was a big softie, and the second was tipped far from Gus, but 2 is a good limit and the Leafs D were... FINALLY... able to give Gus some support.

Gustavsson was .933 on the night. You'll hear no arguments here.

-Komisarek had a great game. Wow, that's odd.

-Mike Brown had a beastly game. Besides utterly humiliating Kris Neubury...

Should have sat the fuck down the first time he got dropped.

He broke up a tricky play late in the game, and even sniped a goal. No Gordie Howe hatty, though.

-Gunnarsson had a great defensive game, especially in that Third.

-Tim Connolly had a quiet, uneventful night. Which is probably good. Though he got pwned on faceoffs (6/16), he's not really a faceoff guy anyway. No major defensive lapses, almost got an assist on the Lupul goal, thats just fine.

-Kessel held to a single point, but was dangerous all night.

Don't worry, I can bet with almost certainty that this will be the 2nd years in a row the Stars do just that too me. Hot start, cold finish, barely miss.
