I'm sorry guys, but you haven't had to deal with Gus these past three years. He's always shaky in net, lets in a weak goal every game, and can't seem to keep his head in the game for a full 60 minutes.

I'm not saying he can't be a good goalie in the future, but right now he's very below average.

I'm not saying he can't be a good goalie in the future, but right now he's very below average.

(1) As I've already said, hes only played for TWO seasons, but I realize time slows down when your prospects are developing that poorly.
(2) What you just described is EXACTLY early M.A. Fleury - EXACTLY. He was good for at least one joke goal a game, and even now still is half the time if hes not going into the game 110% focused with it being Flyers/Capitals/playoffs. It was a running joke cause he would call them "Soff" and miss the 't' in soft with his heavy french accent. And he'd laugh as he said it. And it pissed everyone off. "He let in another soff one."

What you just described is EXACTLY early M.A. Fleury - EXACTLY.

Except one was the top prospect and #1 pick in a draft, and one was an undrafted European import. Expectations for blossoming into a true #1 goalie were a little different I think.

To answer the end of video query, "grade the october Leafs", I give the Leafs an A-. They had a fair amount of key personnel missing at various times - Connolly, Bozak, Kadri, Reimer, Armstrong, MacArthur - and, hey, 7-3-1 is alright for any team.

All of a sudden, Lupul is a threat, and this now makes Kessel very threatening. Add Tim Connolly and M-G-K, and OH MY GOD! We actually have a top 6. Last year, I had to type "top" whenever referring to them.
