not much difference, I took last 6 seasons of Shanahan's Career to make sure its the same era of officiating and rules. You can make the argument of Shanahan being a mature veteran at the end of his career, and I'll accept that...but thats like saying Howe/Orr/Richard would be dominant in this era as they were in their era considering a goalie leaving their skates to make a save was unheard of.

I wouldn't be shocked of Letangs punch to Browns face goes under reviewed and fined.
Won't happen. Letang got him in the neck/shoulder after Brown crosschecked him three times in a row. I'll echo Sep's statement. The officiating in this game was horrendous.

Vancouver writer did a pretty good story about Dave Bolland. Has a great quote from the man himself on his success against the Sedins.

Bollie: “I don’t know what it is and why I’ve had success,” says Bolland, in a jovial mood after his team took three of four points on a two-game Eastern jaunt. “I don’t know whether they’re horrified by my looks or distracted by my beautiful face but we seem to have had some success against them. They’re two, maybe the top two players in the league and our line seems to do pretty well against them. Obviously our role is trying to keep them off the score sheet and helping the defence against them when they’re out there and that’s a tough chore but for some reason we’ve been pretty successful.

    Full story in spoiler.
    Spoiler: show
There is a very credible narrative surrounding the Chicago Blackhawks which suggests Dave Bolland is the binding force that holds this team together.

When he’s playing and playing well as he is right now, this team is among the elite in the National Hockey League. When he’s hurt the Hawks tend to slide toward the middle of the pack.

Just look at last year’s first-round Stanley Cup playoff series against the Vancouver Canucks. Chicago lost the first three games but Bolland forced himself into the lineup despite concussion-related symptoms he later confessed to experiencing once the series was over. As soon as he entered the Hawks lineup, Chicago won three of the next four and the Canucks needed an overtime turnover for Alex Burrows to score the series winner. To be sure, when Bolland is around, Vancouver’s Sedin twins seem to fade into the woodwork.

“I don’t know what it is and why I’ve had success,” says Bolland, in a jovial mood after his team took three of four points on a two-game Eastern jaunt.

“It will be good to play them again and resume our battle with all the bad blood there is between the teams. And by bad blood I mean a healthy rivalry, because it’s becoming one of the best around with all that’s gone on between us the past couple of years. That stuff is really good for the league. It’s a bit like the Leafs and Habs were with all that’s gone on between the teams.”

Bolland is off to a terrific start and on pace to blow away his career-high 19 goals in a season, having already scored five. Many believe he, Bryan Bickell and Michael Frolik is the best third line in the league, although last year the Canucks with a healthy Manny Malhotra, Jannik Hansen and Raffi Torres may well have disputed that claim. But given Bolland is completely healthy and due for a decent run, their line seems to provide the support which allows their stars to shine. Certainly all the big names — led this year by Patrick Kane — are off to terrific starts.

“I think what we have as a line is that all three of us can make a contribution in all three zones,” says Bolland, who at 25 has already won a Memorial Cup, a gold medal at the IIHF world junior championship and a Stanley Cup. “Bick has the big body and uses his size very well and Fro (Frolik) has all kinds of speed and puck skills and the combination seems to be working really well. We all seem to have some special ability in certain areas and we seem to have a knack of working pretty well together. It’s been fun playing with those guys.”

Two seasons ago the Hawks won their Cup with the likes of Andrew Ladd, Adam Burish and Ben Eager roaming around and when they had to pare their payroll for the start of last season, general manager Stan Bowman probably let too much of the same type of player go. The Hawks were much softer through the lineup last season and many feel they suffered for it.

“I think that’s exactly right and I thought Stan did a great job this summer bringing in Dan Carcillo and Jamal Mayers, two gritty guys who know their roles well and play them.

“So far Danny has been a great addition. He’s kept it on the rails on the ice and I know from playing all those games against Philly (in the 2010 Cup final) how hard he is to play against. It’s no fun being out there against him but he’s great to have on your team. He’s one of those guys who likes to hang and he’s fit in really well.”

Robidas gives up the goal on the PK just as quickly, but Eriksson with a beautiful no look feed to Benn in the slot, and 3-1 Stars before the end of the 1st.

Damnit Staal showed up with an assist for the Canes on fantasy and they've since taken it away from him.

It was the Long Island Gordon's Fisherman, but yeah.

7-0 with Mike Green, 2-3 without. MVP.
