I feel so bad for you. You're at the point in season where you think there's still hope, only to be inevitably crushed. Trust me, I've had first hand experience of this for the past five years. It never gets easier

But there's good reason for the hope! Jets are 4-0-1 in their last five. They've cut their point differential into the singles. And with 13 out of 15 games at home this coming December, we could make a good push in the standings.

I only half-agree. Leafs were pinning the Stars in the first period with lots of rush chances, but then the Stars really laid it on them in 2nd and 3rd. Glad they could hold on.

I wouldn't say dominate, considering Dallas was often playing from behind, but when we lost our top dline and draw-man to blocked shots, it did get pretty scary. There was also that 5 minute, 2nd period shoot-a-thon in the leafs end that was cringeworthy. Leafs offence is shockingly over-pace right now, but Dallas did a great job containing Kessel on breakouts - he never got the room to do anything really scary.

Well, whatever, we all get points, right? Different conference, no one left empty-handed... good times all around. Definitely underestimated the Stars, though - no-name players that bring for-real teamwork.
