lol...
lol...
3 games is enough, i guess. I would've like to seen 5-10, Pacioretty is lucky hes not a repeat offender. Someone said when it first happened "Yeah he made contact with both shoulder and head, I dont know, I guess it can be argued as contacting the head." He broke his nose. Last I checked, noses are on people's head. And last I checked, hitting people in the head is against NHL rules.
and then players all around the nhl skate with their head down...strange I dont remember Malone getting suspended for a worse hit on Campoli, or Lucic throwing both his fists in Miller's face...

"A Habs player comitted an infraction?!? MJOLLNIR!! WE MUST SMITE THE FOUL BEASTS"
I thought, if anything, he'd get just one game.
I was thinking a couple, but I can see why he got three.
yessssss, clutterbuck shorthanded :D
3 games feels fine/appopriate but it makes Lucic getting nothing seem worse.
Also I hope Ott is a gigantic shithead tonight.
/facepalm @ BB firing... Thoughts over the last few pages..
Pisses me off because BB was a great coach and ppl act like he wasn't anything special. People can act like he was horrible because he couldn't get the team to win in the playoffs but he made the team, the highest scoring team in decades, and then when they wanted to change and become more hard nosed and defensive, made them a Top 5 Defensive team. It's great to have Hunter as the new coach but BB wasn't the problem and if McPhee wants to change the team he needs to send a better message, trade Semin. That would let Ovie and the team know that if you play like an idiot, you can gtfo. Hopefully BB gets a good job at a West Conf team, I don't want to have to watch the Caps play him much.
It also pisses me off when ppl act like Green is a shitty defense-men. Yes, he occasionally gets burned by a decision to push forward but he is by far the best offensive defense-men in the league, and he is solid back on D. People just overplay his "lack of defensive talents".
Tired of hearing ppl act like Bylsma is a god among men who can turn shit into gold. The Perguins have Crosby, Malkin, Staal, and Fleury and even if one is missing, that's more top-end talent then most teams(2 1st overall and 2 2nd overalls picks). They may not have any true first line wingers but they have good Dmen, 2 of the best C in the game and a top end Goalie, other then his occasional "oops" games.
btw, my ESPN team didn't just "win again", I curb-stomped Bregor and put up crazy points the last two weeks. My only loss is to the #1 team, Sassafrass, who somehow put u the same exact amount of points I did last week. Bregor's team actually posted the third highest total and it wasn't enough.
I would be sad if they had gone for an "established guy" like Mike Keenan or Ken Hitchcock or something. Good thing St. Louis did everyone a favor by getting Hitch first, lol. But Dale Hunter is the fucking man, especially in this town, and his OHL resume' is outstanding. Frankly, if Ovie doesn't want to play for him, he can pack his bags for Sochi right now.
I hear ya, I am less pissed because it's Dale and Dale is Dale "Bad Ass Mother Fucker" Hunter. I'm going to miss BB's lame ass commercials though, they were always funny.
Ryder!! WEeeee! 2-0 Stars with 5 to go.
Edit: Avs score to make it close but Ryder scores again on the EN. Raycroft with a great game, putting some of our worries for the next 3 weeks to rest. Great road win for the Stars, especially considering the circumstances.
I know im way late to the convo, but back then, Montreal largely won because they were allowed to sign local players before any other team. Being able to always draft and sign the best players before anyone else, usually gives you a pretty big advantage.
Didnt the Canadiens own the QMJHL at one point? I'd go read the french history books to confirm, but I'd rather read American, English history books talking about how we've won wars and done heroic things.
Mike Ribeiro, Miikka Kiprusoff, Craig Anderson, and Tim Thomas all up for grabs in ESPN. I'm in need of a LW and a D man.
