The only reason Buffalo got a game was because it was their idea in the first place. The NHL didn't even want to do it.

I don't see why they wouldn't do another game in Buffalo. The atmosphere is great, it snows almost every day making for great TV and a rivalry game against Boston/Ottawa(if they didn't suck) would be awesome.

Re: Winter Classic matchups, don't forget that it's always going to be an NBC game for the next 19 years, and that NBC only airs American teams during the regular season. So long as NBC is the only TV partner I highly doubt we'll see a Canadian team in the WC, they don't want to lose half their ratings by having one of the markets not counting to it. The matchups I'd like to see over time:

Any original 6(4?) matchup
Detroit vs. San Jose
Detroit vs. Colorado
Rangers vs. Islanders or Devils
Any northeast team vs. any Florida team
Chicago vs. Minnesota
St. Louis vs. Nashville(would never happen lol)

Damn, Caps are hitting hard as shit, 15-2 Caps in hits after 10m, has to be even more by now. Ovie with 5 hits 10m in and all of them have been really hard. On the down side, they are down 1 early and were out shot 7-0 before they suddenly had a flurry of chances, that didn't go in.

Its a complete joke the way the Caps are playing, and the Pens broadcast is right to make fun of it - they're going for hits but outside of hitting they're doing nothing. Losing 80% of loose pucks / 50-50 puck battles / board play. Not posessing the puck in the Pens end at all except for 2 30-second shifts. The effort level from the Caps is not what I'm used to seeing from them versus the Pens.

I'll agree the Caps are playing "out of control" but if they keep hitting like they are, the Penguins are going to be dead by the end of the next period. The majority of the hits have been pretty hard by the Caps as well. Like I said before, it is going to take some time for the Caps to learn exactly what Dale wants but he obviously is focusing on physicality first.

Also, Penguins broadcasters are complete idiots, so nobody should care what they say. Think they are some of the worst I have heard, in any sport.

Well I'd hope they'd be leading in hits/blocked shots... seeing as its in their end 80% of the time. Pens can't hit the Caps if they don't have the puck. Pens can't block shots if Caps aren't in a position to take shots.
