lolllllllllll
that building sure got quiet
Ouch. Poor jets.
HOW 'BOUT THEM TRASHERS
ThrashHawkJets giving up five to Montreal is just about the saddest way to welcome back hockey.![]()
At this point I'm rooting for them to get just one more goal. Give the fans something.
Not every day that you see a team down 5-1 and getting a standing ovation by it's crowd. Tough game to have be your return to the NHL.
But not altogether unexpected. Jets had some good chances but whiffed on em. I hope they do something to help improve the team because if they continue to play like this it's going to be a rough season, also consider they will move to the Western Conference and imagine how much rougher it will be next year.
So does RNH live up to the hype and score the goal of the year in his first NHL game? Otherwise what a bust, even Eberle was able to.
Price was god mode tonight, to be expected after losing to Toronto.
I'm really not surprised we lost, but kinda surprised we lost so bad.
STILL CANT KEEP THE SMILE FROM MY FACE

All right guys, here goes.
Bittersweet.
5-1 for the Habs the final. Not bitter at the team, I'm just pissed at that interference call on Buff that never should have happened. We had all the momentum going up to the point then boom...we just lost it. Part of the game, I know, but this'll sting for awhile.
Crowd was amazing. We were absolutely booming before a zebra interfered with the celebrations. My section started the standing ovation in the last minute and rightfully so. Our guys played hard, albeit very nervously and shaky, but hard (you could obviously tell by the passing tonight). Anthem and Rypien tribute were very well done. Also glad the crowd didn't out right boo Bettman tonight. He doesn't deserve the title public enemy #1 anymore.
50/50 winner got about $80k I believe? The amount was pretty insane tonight. When they showed the pot amount during a break in the second, tons of people got up and went to either get their tickets or get some more. Funny moment at the concession stand too. Bought some popcorn and a drink and it took the cute ~16year old about 2 minutes to figure out the change
Got a nice inaugural lanyard, ticket holder and pin. Spend $20 for the limited program book. Was thinking of pre-ordering the plaque and metal ticket, but I'll sit on the idea.
Met up with an old high school buddy I haven't talked to since first year university. He was our valedictorian and a hockey player, captain of our team. Was so weird, just standing in line to go in, we get to the steps and bam, there he is. That was nice.
Kudos to my favorite goalie Price for getting 'er done. 5-1 seems bad, but considering we had more shots on goal by a good margin, and the bull shit interference call, I say we did all right.
Guess what I'm trying to say is...
It's great to be back in the fucking NHL.
Fuck yeah.
since they're going to be happy with whatever shitbox team is playing in front of them for at least two years, blow up the core, trade us back Ladd and Buff
My risk on Hopkins has paid off so far!
