Occurrence words! That's why I (we) said generally, to account for the 1 or 2 teams that make the jump. Boston was too good with too many young, skilled (thanks to Toronto, no less), big bodied players to not make the playoffs. Having said that, I also didn't anticipate them going on 13-0-1 tear

Well, I guess the change isnt that bad. Looking at the Kings Conference, they should be the 3rd best team behind Vancouver and San Jose. Phoenix might not even be there next season. The Ducks are the Ducks, the Flames are going no where but down and the Oilers are starting to turn it around.

Whats kinda nice is the Kings/Vancouver rivalry can grow once more and hopefully the old Oilers/Kings rivalry of the 80s can get going again since both teams are young and on the up rise.

This is nice for me too since I live near Philly now so every year I can at least see the Kings in PHI, WSH, NJ, NYI and NYR.

I'm pretty sure they specifically said they would not use the old names, but that was back in the summer and I'm sure it can change.
