the instigator is given if a player leaves his position on the ice to start a fight. If two players are locked up in a battle, an instigator wont get called.

Well let me explain:
-Schenn starts by rubbing a player out on the boards as he crosses the line. The hit is hip-on-hip, and not even at full tilt.
-Chimera jumps at schenn and drops gloves. Schenn drops gloves as well, and shoves Chimera down to the ice.
-Both players get a roughing minor.
Technically the rules were honoured, but Schenn did shit all to deserve the hate from Chimera. It lands both players in the box.
Not worried yet, Leafs severely outplayed the Caps that period. If they keep it up, they'll crush em
Oh my god, it's this game again. I hate watching these games
Can't too much man against the Caps.
You mean leafs games?
Wideman decides to start scoring again the week I am playing against him in fantasy, jerk.
And Chimera hit Schenn in the flow of the play, right after the check and they both dropped gloves at same time, Schenn just decided he didn't want to fight and pushed him down.
is joke

Leafs only controlled the first 10-12 minutes of play. It's been pretty open since then.
A minor penalty? On Alex Semin? I AM SHOCKED AND APPALLED SIR
I dunno. It definitely opened up more in the 2nd, but I think we still have a posession edge, and we're getting better looks. Shots 15-Tor to 9-Wsh, and we definitely have more chances (though we have missed the net an uncomfortable amount of times)
Not counting the rofltastic penalty kills, of course![]()
-Rinne in a bit of a funk
-Outside of Weber / Suter, our D pairings have been terrible. Weber and Suter are a combined +26. Our remaining "top" four D are a combined -35.
-We have no offense; most casual hockey fans couldn't name a single of our top six forwards
-We made no offseason moves
Preds are pretty resilient though; we're only like a point out of 8th. Issue is that the Central division is tough as shit; we currently have three teams (CHI, DET, STL) with more points than the current Pacific points leader (PHX). I'm hoping the Blues are just in a post-coaching change honeymoon period because if they continue to play like they have since Hitchcock came on board, it's going to be even harder.

Vokoun is so bad at moving the puck or anything coming from the corners, fucking Christ.
