Im sure ALL of Canada didnt WANT Vancouver to win but im sure most would be happy if a Canadian team won the cup.

I'm p. sure Eddie's actually right on that one, afaik everyone outside of BC in Canada hates the Canucks just as much as we do in Chicago lol

A bunch of my younger cousins in Eastern Canada are Canucks fans even though they've never lived here. Anyone saying that ALL of Canada is either rooting for or against the Canucks is talking out of their ass. They're like any other team in Canada if you don't root for that team, some dislike them because for a bunch of reasons, others don't mind them.

The game tonight was brutal. Canucks did not deserve to win. Could have been 3-0 Columbus in the first if either a)Schneider hadn't made some good stops early or b) Columbus figured out their offense. Hodgson was our best non-first liner, he was all over the ice which is great because it shows the kids got talent. If he can maintain some consistency he could be potential replace Sturm, who is looking terrible, on the wing when Kesler gets back.

Just got back from Caps Bolts and wow at that game. Vokoun was HORRIBLE. At least 3 of those goals were terrible soft goals and ppl were calling for Neuvirth in my section(including me). Last couple mins, through Ot and the SO he was suddenly beastmode though.

Johansson was beats from the start, guessing he learned his lesson after BB sat him in the opener. Wicked steal/wrap around goal at the start. Chimera was also beast all night and if he keeps scoring like this the Caps will have a BEAST third line. lol@Hendricks jumping the puck on the Wideman goal. Crowd was pretty awesome too, HOCKEY IS BACK!

Just got back from Caps Bolts and wow at that game.

Yea it was pretty intense, even the several soft goals Vokoun gave up didn't quiet the crowd very long, especially since the Caps answered back pretty quick most of the time. Tickets were a gift, great game to see on my BDay lol. Pretty sure Bregor was there too.

I know in 2004 I cheered for the Lightning vs Calgary in the finals since... fuck Calgary. Was nice taking money from suckers who wanted to bet on the happy feel-good story of a Canadian team winning the Cup.
Was so funny watching people use the argument of "At least it's a Canadian team, we should cheer for them, they'd do the same."
Enter 2006 when it was Edmonton vs Carolina and nobody in Calgary was cheering for the Oil.

Even around here a few months ago I saw more Boston fans than Vancouver, but who knows if it was a "Screw Vancouver" mentality, or the fact that it was against an original 6 team which will always have an abundance of fans everywhere.

Ok, Fantasy Hockey peeps help me out a bit.

ESPN league. My opponent is outscoring me hardcore on volume alone. He always seems to have 7-10 guys active every day when I'm playing 3-4. The one day so far where he isnt outnumbering me I clobbered him by 40. But outside that hes nickel and diming me day by day and has ~20 player advantage over me at the end of the 10 day match.

Am i doing it wrong?

Hall and Kane have had the unfortunate situation of playing their first games Sunday, but through the season those kind of things should balance out.

Also Re: Brendan Smith's suspension, the AHL ruled him ineligible until Oct 18th due to the NHL suspension, so the Wings have recalled him and placed Commodore on 7 day IR. It looks like you have to be serving on the active roster of a team to serve your suspension and reduce the number of games you have remaining. So in all likelihood Smith will be serve a few games now and if Commodore can come back then he will go back to the AHL and spend most, if not all of the season there.

He's a fucking retard...the only people in Montreal who'd rather see Boston win the cup instead of Vancouver would be people who are Bruins fans to begin with. Even if it came down to Toronto and Boston somehow (conference reconstruction), they'd pick Toronto.

Your team's fine. The early season schedule is really weird because of teams coming back from Europe and having long breaks, while others playing a ton of games. For example tomorrow Pits will have played 4 games while Edmonton, San Jose, and Winnipeg still only played 1. This week goes till the 16th for that reason in Fantasy. It'll even out.

Yeah, Jets don't play until Thursday. And their first game was Sunday. Schedules will even themselves out a bit more once it gets into full swing. And then just look at the last day of regular season. If it's tight like last year, we're going to have some crazy games going on.
