QUEBEC CITY -- The Quebec government isn't pleased about the hiring of a Montreal Canadiens coach who can't speak French.

The province's culture minister says she expects the Habs to correct the situation.

Christine St-Pierre isn't quite calling for the firing of new coach Randy Cunneyworth, who was just hired over the weekend.

First off, how many MTL Canadian players can speak french? Also, now u know why the rest of Canada hates Quebec. Not sure what grade u have to learn french until nowadays. But I had to learn until I was in grade 10. Such a useless language. Wish i had the option of learning Japanese.

As far as taking French in school, I took it all the way through Grade 12.
But I have family out in Richmond and they were given the option to learn Japanese as a second language.
