Kesler is a good player, but that doesn't mean I don't hate him. I imagine it's the same for every other team in the league and Tootoo, although obviously Kesler >>> Tootoo, but the principle still stands. I'm completely stumped on the call on the Kronwall hit after watching it a few times. I don't think it warrants a suspension but I've seen at least 3 hockey media members say it's a clean hit, two of which saying because he didn't target the head. What the fuck does targeting the head have to do with it? He blatantly jumped into the hit, there's two definitions of charging and that's one of them. Didn't Fistric just get 3 games for it?
Again, I don't think it's suspension worthy but that's at least a minor, and he gets away with this shit all the time...

If Fistric gets 3 games for "leaving his feet" Kronwall needs to get suspended every time he does shit like that. I don't agree it should be a suspension, but its bullshit that he got 3 for leaving his feet when Kronwall does it every hit. I'd rather neither player got suspended because I think they're awesome hits as long as they're not headshots, but I want some god damn consistency.

I'd prefer that instead of suspending Engelland they just gave him a minor to match Scott's, negated the PP goal, gave each team a point and made them play an overtime.

The real solution is for players to master the hit of olde... Thy hip check. Nothing got me more amped than an open ice hip check. There will be a lot less leaving of the feet when people have to time and steer their bodies into the opposition. Also less "head realted injuries" as hip checks usually target the lower body.

The hip check is a devastating check and amazing to watch. I remember watching Darius Kasparitis murder people when they came down the wings with the puck.
