I'm trying to find, and failing to do so, the clip of Jay Feaster guaranteeing the Flames making the playoffs. He did it on 2 separate occasions. I figured I could post the sound bit first and lessen the damage from when it gets played every 5 minutes during the off season >_>

Didn't Feaster want to rebuild but the ownership won't let him? Not much he can do there.

Eh, somewhat. He believes that we can win with the core we have. Or at least, he used to and still might. He's surprisingly optimistic. We do have some decent prospects, but they're not players you can build your team around, not yet anyway. It should be an interesting off season for us, Olli Jokinen and David Moss are the only top fowards of ours that are UFA, everyone else we have for at least another year. Pretty much all of our 3rd and 4th liners are either UFA or RFA. As for Defense, only Sarich and Hannan are UFA, we have a bunch of other D for at least a couple more years.

Feaster did make his mark on the team though, Cammy, Stempniak, Comeau, Jones, Butler, and Smith were all brought in by him. But the core of the team is relatively the same from the last few years.

I just picture Bluefan, Bregor, and Izzy all running for a train car and one of them makes it at the last second and turns out to the two who missed the train, sticks their tongue out at them, and then turns to walk into the train compartment and Malkin or Lundqvist just punch them in the face and they fall off the train as it pulls out of the station; that is what I imagine happening in the 1st round Eastern Conference 1-8 matchup.

I hate it when you're right, but even if the Caps squeak in, they're not getting past the Pens. Rags, maybe, just due to our history against them.
