The secret has always been the same - if you keep them off the lead/or run a dedicated chip n chase play, you're in. Any combination of factors that gets the puck deep in Tampa's zone, with your team near it/in possession = Money.

I think that's why they run such a tough neutral-trap system - they really, really don't want to have to play defence

I saw a YT vid on my leafs board once that was a really detailed explanation of the 1-3-1 and how the trap is sprung. It's a great strat because there's no clear-cut answer to beat it while keeping possession - You need to improvise to find holes based on what Tampa shows you.
The closest thing to an answer is a dedicated chip 'n chase play from the pressured wing to the opposite side - idea being your far winger hits the line with speed as you send it, thus beating the D/gaining the zone/ starting the cycle. Even then, there's still a defender available for Tampa that can contest the chase.
