Sorry Palin, Stars are actually my second favorite Western Conference team. Something about the southern flavor and Preds-like hard-working hockey. That said, I after what happened in the last game of the year against the Wild last year, and then getting knocked out in the 81st game of the regular season this year, I would be inconsolable if I were a Stars fan right now.

Pray that BG goes under before the Preds miss the playoffs because I will be an alcoholic maelstrom of terror and nooses across the internet when it happens.

Man the 4, 5, 6 scenarios in the West are absurd right now. If CHI loses in the SO and beats DET on Saturday, it will go to the second tiebreaker (H2H points) which CHI wins. That would put DET in 6th and make the Preds (#4) play the Hawks (#5) in the first round.

If NSH wins in any way, 4th is guaranteed.

If NSH loses in OT to COL, 4th is still guaranteed

If you beat DET in regulation, you will get 5th. If you beat them in a OT/SO, you get 6th because DET's loser point puts them on top.
