Got it at last for people that do not know:

After melding ~10+ materia speak to the goblin and select: Secret materia techniques and if you have melded enough he will swap your melder for augmented....

Got it and 1st thing i did was put 2 T3 STR in cobalt red gauntlets resulting in +27 lol

Also the % differs on the value of the Tier materia also I.E. you will get diff % for a T3 +15 STR and T3 +11 STR...

Geez that is lame, I was hoping high end TIII like the +15 would be worth something due to easier melding. Hey try to add a 3rd materia to those Gauntlets and let us know the percentage, just curious how much it goes down.

I think I tried to add another 15 STR for 11% chance, didnt attempt it though

On a side note just made Cobalt Mitts with STR+17 and ATK+22 ;D

Do want! I put a +27 atk on my Mitts but I would be too scared to risk trying to attach a 2nd to them. ><

There's like, no IV materia for attk, acc or crit attk on Kashuan. I this the same on other servers?

Also, been wondering if converting an armour with materia already melded onto it into materia changes things at all?

Cant convert gear with materia in, and yes you can get IV ATK/ACC/CRIT i have all 3 at max stat

Mooglebox.com just put up a materia chart with a lot of functionality. Sort columns, hide columns, mark rows, filter. Good for reference.

You can indeed convert gear with materia already in it. I converted a Raptor Survival Belt just the other day that had a materia in it.

Anyone know where the npc is that removes materia and the cost of it? Is it one of the npcs over by the goblin?

yeah its the goblin, easy way to get your augmented is to take ~10 of cheapest materia/catalyst up to goblin and meld -> purge, wash rinse repeat

honestly no. I've seen a few people convert their +1 or 2 but still get crap. Seems completely random to me. On another note, is there a way to influence of success rate on melding a 2nd materia?

edit: actually just tested it, different materia will give different success rates on the second meld

Check the tabs at the bottom of our spreadsheet. It also shows what people got from blowing up their gear into materia by slot.
