I really am not a huge fan of Jobs. I hate apple products. But I really don't get why everyone thinks its a must that you have to give money to charity or you're an awful human being. You give to charity if you want to. If you don't, I'm not gonna hold anything against you just for that fact.

Or it is a must to let every other person know that you've given money to charity.

I guess it's getting to be a common comparison: In one of my classes someone asked the professor how badly his death would hurt the US economy as a whole. To his credit, he said it won't have an impact at all, but he added something along the lines of "people were worried when Edison died too but we continued to innovate and grow".

I was sad when I heard he died, which is odd considering I spent most of my nerd life (since I was about 12) hating on Apple. I used to spend hours/days on message boards in PC vs Mac flame wars!
