The diff with Life is that the heal procs on WS while speed does not. That and the eva down buff is nice. (not that we miss anything atm though)

Right on. I guess it's not a bad idea for someone who's not quite comfortable with the fight, or if a party in general is still getting the feel for the encounter.
How potent is Bloodbath II when it's used on something other than MRD?
Damn, I need to grind on Ifrit for that for when I get unlucky with Plumes.
I know its not the same, but me and a couple of friends started playing this again, we spent about 8 hours last night getting our chocobo whistles starting the company quests from scratch. Then today we found a fourth to do the level 25 ifrit fight, we were all 30 or so, but it was fun as hell. Beat him first try. Most fun I've had in the game. Definitely hoping for more content like that to be added.
Question - those spikes that ifrit summons that you can kill, is there any purpose in killing them? Or can you just leave them alone?
We killed them, was just curious if they did anything nasty if you choose not to.
That is only the mini fight. The spikes reduce the damage done by hellfire. Once you get rank 50 and try the big boy fight, it's a whole 'nother story. Easily 50 times harder.
Lancaster how much would it cost for you guys to let me come on an ifrit run?
The fight is only different because Ifrit's stats were toned down to be manageable by a Lv.25 party of four. Otherwise it's about the same.
its all about dodging in this fight once u get the hang of it
if you lose, that means ur melee sucked
Question; I'm in a quite ARC and mage-heavy LS and we sadly don't have that many people with melee classes. Should we just not bother with Ifrit until we have more of them or is it possible with the correct coordination?
