Not one of our best, but it's from healer perspective to show how main healer doesn't need to move.

Look for the little rock where Bracsith stands (he calls it Jeff...) and how the tank is just right of one of the plumes since they pop up same place every time.

That's a great video, thanks Grey. But how come it didn't do any dashes until around the 5 min mark? Sometimes it just spams them for us since quite early.

Ability selection is completely random. Sometimes Ifrit will fly every chance he gets, sometimes he'll throw Eruptions all day long.

Ifrit did 3 x 3 eruptions in phase 5 a few times last night. Perhaps its not a glitch and just something he occasionally does?

drop rate is horrid

i went 0/30 first day i joined a group that know how to do it....

and then 2/3 on the next day..... got an axe and bow(lol this doesnt count) but im very delighted at the axe, given i tank him on my mrd

this fight generally is about people staying alive than dealing damage to ifrit.... Im not going into pre-HF as everyone by now should get to that phase w/o any problems... the real fight starts after HF

General strat i would say is:
1. everyone SHOULD have sentinel(obvious reasons), 2nd wind + invigorate (to heal every AOE or 'mistake'). conj can get free instant cures for urself too with these
2. THM/LNC should also have intimitation + accomplice set to accomplice 2nd conj, so 1 conj will definately will never get eruption (altho may still get if lnc die for some reason). It is also good for everyone with seasoned veteran and prime conditioning set
3. Plume is obvious....no one should get hit..... not going into more details on that. even if you do get hit, 2nd wind is ur friend.
4. Ifrit will only do eruption > something else..... he may not have eruption in the chain of WS tho, but when he does eruption, it will never be an eruption back to back////
5. LNC are the key to this fight.... afaik, lnc can survive entire fight with just sacrifice III, 2nd wind, bloodbath, lifesurge as cures.... no one should ever ever need to cure the lncs.... if the lnc die, that means they fucked up
6. always only auto attack (for lncs) before ifrit uses a WS..... same for healers, try to minimize healing before u think ifrit is going to WS. ONLY use an action after ifrit WS. He WS every 15s interval i think so you have to time really well. A good conj will almost have 80% fight the entire time.
7. be patience, never try to do something extra and get yourself locked. Auto attack does about 20 damage lol so dont have to be real hardcore standing there and poke.... auto attack once, and can try to run in and out in between delays.... LNC gain TP fast anyway, you should always have 2000 tp to doomspike after ifrit WS. poking in and out also helps alot to anticipate eruption/plume
8. be patient again if someone die, only raise after ifrit's WS like any other action
9. ???
10. YOU OBTAIN 8 DARK MATTER GRADE 5!!!

Good pointers. I think accomplice on mages complicates things a bit. It does suck having Eruption targetted on all your DPS at once, but imo it's better they run than the mage has to. Speed Surge is far better than Life Surge on this one imo. Use Ifrit's "tells" to know what skills he is about to use.

Also, while having more Lancers definitely lowers the learning curve a bit, Marauders do quite a bit of damage on this fight too. Just did a couple runs with me on MRD (Ifrit's Battleaxe) and the damage is pretty closer to our LNC with Ifrit's Harpoon. It's still no contest under 20% with that extra Chaos Thrust damage though. Also, don't need more than two mages here. Use MRD tank for 6k+ additional damage over the course of the fight.

life surge for ws when u need cures... normally yea speeed is better

2 mages will work tho, an extra dd helps alot since i realise the thm is just mainly to apply dot and slow and nothing else....

If you bring multiple lancers, to me it makes sense to have one of them on Life Surge. Sure, he hits a little bit slower but the extra curing is significant and should help if you're still struggling with the fight.

Uh, Speed Surge adds heals-on-successful-attacks for everyone in the party and gives the user 8% auto-attack haste. Life Surge adds heals-on-successful attacks for just the user, and adds accuracy for everyone. Which means that Life Surge is basically worthless.

Huh? I was always under the assumption that LS adds life leech for everyone. I guess not.

Nope, just the user but it's 100% absorb, unlike speed surge, which also heals for less.
