This thread is making me laugh way more than it probably should.

My cat is kinda the same way, used to be fatter but is really thin now. Had bloodwork done not too long ago and it looked ok so idk. He just meows all the time now, which he never used to before. I have a feeling someone is giving him treats all the time because he knows when I'm getting food or will leave me alone after feeding him or letting him sleep on me.

I have a fat cat (~15 lbs) who suddenly seemed to be a little sick and down, she would hide in the basement and sleep all day and lost like 5lbs over the course of a couple months, but apparently nothing was technically wrong with her (at least, nothing anyone could find). She definitely slimmed down during that time, and then she seemed to snap out of whatever funk she was in and gained the weight back after that >_> She didn't stop eating altogether but this is a cat who fucking loves to eat, even stealing food from our other cats, and from what we saw she just wasn't that interested in her voracious appetite during her funk. She is perfectly fine now, though...just never a very active cat...lol.

A lot of things about cats are mysterious and unexplained, I hope yours is okay, it's very cute :3

Ok. Just took her in. She's lost another pound, down to 6.3 from 8lb. They're running blood tests now so I should know within the hour. They said its likely a thyroid problem and quoted me $3,000 for the surgery, or told me I could give her a pill twice a day. We're still unsure if thats the problem though, but if all it takes is a pill, I kind of hope it is..

This is what it seems to be. Blood tests came back clean. She has to be stressed out or something.. Weird..
