Haha I stopped by the arcade today and there was SF/KOF/SVC5/UMVC tourneys all going, but I was about 15 minutes too late ;;

Welts a fraud
God, I used to get butthurt about crossups but I'm learning to anticipate them now.
Anyway, taking Gief through arcade mode to get used to using him in slow paced matches and I think they jacked the difficulty of the game in AE. I'm only playing on medium and Dudley is doing instant counters, Guile is standing flash kicking on top of taunting, and overall the AI is just smarter.
The only thing I still get butthurt about is throws lol
I get butthurt about seths, I thought it was like an unspoken rule not to play him online? Maybe I was just hearing things.
You're imagining stuff, the first rule of online ranked matches is to select Seth or Oni without learning anything about them other than their special moves and go to town
Uhhh..... playing at arcade you're definitely NOT playing random opponents lol, you can only play the playerbase available you have in your area. Don't forget the stats were not reset for v2012 either.
If you didn't notice, Tokido didn't really play much arcade in v2012, he's been grinding online instead.
Also, if you want to compare win percentages, 75% "sucks" if you considers that it's pretty much the same percentage as Fuudo (74%) and Mago (77%)
I never said 75% sucked I only made comparison on two players BP vs win rate. For someone people like to say is really amazing at this game there seems to be people in Japan doing better than do not really get to play in the US. But its OK the 25% loses are probably Daigo's friend
And comparing BP with one guy who has played one character since v2012 and one guy who has played since the beginning of AE is valid because...? Obviously you still need to beat people, but arcade BP system is a grind fest.
Edit: and I like your ninja edits there!
His BP with Yun was higher and win rate was lower, with a clearly broken character. But hey maybe it was his friend playing :-/
And the edits were made to avoid aggro...I didn't know you already replied LOL
DONT ARGUE WITH ME I HAVE HAD SEVEN SHOTS OF CUPCAKE VODKA AND ALOT OF BAILEYS
when is the LG tournament
Heard Mike say on Arturo's stream that it's all being recorded, to be aired on Korean TV, over the 2 weeks he was over there. He's under NDA or some shit so couldn't give out any results.
Spoiler: show
Octo is right. Some players have inflated stats because they're the best at their local arcade and boat everyone in their scene. Flash metroid probably has a 90% win rate against south Florida players but that alone wouldn't make him the best in the US... It just means his local scene is free to him
Ha, just got a chance to watch this, the Elf in the very first match is the one I play against at locals here. He also is the creator of the SSFIV Mega Man sprite character art, I guess if you preorder SFxTK at the official Capcom store it'll come with a lanyard featuring those:

new players never backdash or forward dash. like ever. use it. ffs, its great and amazing. if you're being pressured to hell, mash the back dash out unless you're playing against someone like scun who will OS you every time. at which point, you can mash an invincibility frame move out like the srk or just learn to time it lol
listen. people complain about it, but EVERYONE fucking does it. ya. im looking at you with a guilty conscience, whoever's reading this. EVERYONE mashes. its a legit tactic, and pros themselves do it. there's nothing wrong with it, and people who complain about it are bitches and dont know how to bait and try too hard to style. just do what you have to do to win, lol. winning is winning. running out the clock to me is more lame than someone who mashes out of a situation. but i still dont hold anything against anyone. if you KNOW a throw is coming and your timing or lag is awful, than mash the backdash, unless you're in a corner.
Sakura's back dash is a delicious LK OS > U1 or LK OS > Sweep
